I ate six eggs yesterday. I think that's my record. I mix other ingredients into my eggs, because eating them alone makes me nauseous. I like to add cheese, cottage cheese, minced garlic, onion and peppers. I've never added all five items, but I'm sure I'd like it. My average for the eight days I've been tracking is 2.6…

kpk54, thank you for your response. I may have eaten 50 grams of protein when I did LCHF the first time. At that time, the belief was that being in ketosis saved your muscles and you only lost fat. I did not try to eat any certain amount of protein. I am now trying to eat 86 grams of protein, because I’ve read several…

Thank you both very much. Baconslave, the fat absolutely melted off of me my first time on LCHF. It was wild. I didn’t need to keep track of anything other than making sure my net carbs weren’t above 50. I may have had 50 grams of protein a day, nowhere near the protein levels I’ve been seeing recommended. I must have lost…

Wow. Thank you very much for the warning. I haven’t tried any fake meat, except for the beyond burger. I will definitely avoid Quorn.

Hi, Carine. I'm new to vegetarianism and I recently resumed LCHF. This week is the first week I've combined both ways of eating. Monday Breakfast: 2 eggs, coffee with heavy whipping cream Lunch: coffee with heavy whipping cream Dinner: organic vegetarian protein powder(Orgain), unsweeted coconut milk(Silk), natural peanut…

I keep my net carbs at 50 or below.

Thank you. This was an excellent read.

Hello. I have been sober for 19 months and 5 days. I just noticed this group and I'm glad you're here.

My goal is to stay under 100 grams net. I entered ketosis very quickly on 50 net carbs a day and I lost almost 60 pounds. I want to avoid ketosis, so I eat more carbs now.
-
Thank you all, very much. I truly appreciate your advice and insight.

Thank you!

Thanks! Any advice on how much is okay before it starts being converted to carbs?

I just got home from the gym. I used the weight machines and stretched before going home. I also chaperoned a field trip with my 8th grader to IUPUI, so I walked a lot before my gym workout.

I went to the gym today and used the weight machines. My wife and I took our son and our dog on a walk after I grilled our dinner. It has been a really nice day in Indianapolis, IN.
-
Maybe a mixture of both?

Thank you, ladipoet. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me.

I went to the gym last Friday and yesterday after over a year of not working out. I have a nice level of soreness.

I’d like to join. My goal is to go to the gym three times per week. I have to be careful and limit myself. I have started an exercise goal several times with good intentions, slowly become obsessed, exercised more and more, eaten less and less, until I was becoming weaker and was always in pain and hungry. I’ve also torn…

It will be two years in August.

I lost almost 60 lbs. in a little over a year with almost zero exercise. My lab numbers are great. I do believe exercise is important, though. I just went back to the gym yesterday.
-
Excellent information, cstehansen. I really appreciate the time you took to share all of that with me. Thank you!
-
Thank you, Macchiatto. I am interested and I appreciate you sharing your numbers and advice.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and experience. I appreciate your insight.

Thanks. I was just surprised by the large increase in LDL. I haven’t noticed any new weight loss, but the BO made me wonder if that was the cause. I’m not trying to lose anymore. I reached my goal last year, so I expected my numbers to be better or the same, not worse. I appreciate your input.

Thanks, everyone.

You're welcome! I'm so glad!

Lol!

Thank you and you've done a great job as well!
