Have you ruled out SAD vs depression? Typically you are asked to try vitamin D supplements before trying antidepressants depending on where you live and how often you're in the sun.

So I can't eat back my exercise calories or I shift to maintenance. I power walk 5miles a day and eat 1720 calories. I used to eat back the exercise calories and it ruined my progress. I also discovered you must weigh and measure as well as remembering sauces, seasonings, cooking oil and extra nibbles in the kitchen.

I'm averaging 7lbs per month and it's realistic for me. I don't eat back exercise calories and I walk a lot. If I didn't then I would be expecting 4lbs per month. Watch YouTube videos about what 5lbs looks like if you're dissatisfied it will help to know if you lost 5lbs that's 5 cans worth of fat.

So change the batteries and remember to warm up the scale. Most electric scales say to weigh a small object between 5-20 lbs before you weigh yourself because they tend to get stuck at or near the last number they weighed. The second item weighed will be more acurate so try that.

I had to play "this for that". Essentially it's an easy substitution game to maximize the use of your calorie allowance. So instead of 2eggo waffles and log cabin syrup I choose 1 gluten free Van's brand of waffle, 2eggs no additives like milk for scrambling and 90% less calorie log cabin syrup. The goal is reduced…

Friend. To low carb makes me sick.

A lot of those videos were much harder on me after pelvic surgery than actually going for a walk because they have you doing knee highs and you can't find your own comfortable pace. My suggestion is do walking in your area outside stiving to go at an exceptable but not hard pace for 4 weeks in a row 30minutes a day. After…
-
After pelvic surgery I gained 30lbs. My goal is to get rid of it. I'm 5'5" F and I mainly removed dairy and gluten from my diet. I do slip up with gluten once or twice a week but for the most part I do okay. For exercise I mainly walk 5miles a day. I'm down to about 3 atm after straining my foot. I eat about 1500-1720…

So you need to drink wheather or not you want to and you need to do so continuously. Unless your doctor has said no artificially sweetened drinks I recomend Sprite zero, and carbonated flavored water and water with no calorie flavor additives like mio. Your body will hold weight vengfully if you don't hydrate and you'll…

So how is your sleeping and your water intake? I lose way faster if I'm drinking enough water and sleeping a full 8hrs. Also weigh in protical is a major factor. I weigh in after using the bathroom first thing in the morning no food in yet and I weigh in my birthday suit. Now the bigger I've been in the many years I've…

The average rule is 10lbs per pants size and 20lbs per dress size. With that being said bust size plays a major factor as said above. Honestly you'll do better to take measurements monthly as you continue weightloss than to obsess over dress size. I tend to wear flowing dresses and it takes 30lbs for my size to drop but I…

So here's some pro tips I've learned over about 5 years using MFP. Your activity level is BEFORE you count the exercise you're doing for weightloss. Personally I walk 5miles a day and logged active. I do NOT enter my exercise here or eat back my exercise calories. When I start new exercise my weight stalls or slightly…

Also women cleaned and cooked for many hours daily, men worked many hours daily and outdoor family activities were really popular. Even things like poker night, bridge night ect contributed to less focus on food and vegging out in front of a screen. With less electronic time sleep was easier to get too.
-
It starts with food. Back then even fast food was made far more healthy. TV, social media and video games weren't the major form of relaxation so our cultures couch potato mentality hadn't begun. All kids spend massive amounts of time outdoors exercising and adults ate lower calorie foods properly portioned.
-
Something to consider. Did you pick your activity level without including exercise when you selected your weightloss goals? If you include the amount you work out and then log your exercise it gives you the same calories twice negatively effecting your weightloss.
-
So I removed dairy and gluten from my diet and broke the world's longest plateau. I also had to give up cheat days and start walking 5 miles a day. I would try different strategies in 3 week intervals until one causes weightloss. I don't think dropping your calories is the answer. Also if you're truly stuck at that weight…

5 miles or more walking.

I did and I gave up every form of caffeine for a year... I really hated it. After giving up mind altering substances, cigarettes, gluten, dairy and all fast food the energy drinks were my line and I'm personally okay with that. I have a vitamin B Deficiency though and they're loaded with it so I think there's definitely an…

I really wonder what happened to Kevin you kill us and MadMax both were people I talked to all the time on MFP and they're both no where in sight :-(
-
Err, honestly I just switched to 0-10calorie energy drinks because when I drop them I get tired and over eat. With that in mind I'd give up the diet soda. Or I'd switch to 5hr energy shots and quit both.

A few things personally I don't eat back my exercise calories and because of that my calorie goal is 1720. I'm 5'5" F for reference. It is easier for me to under shoot 1720 and end up around 1500 than to stick to a lower calorie deficit I'm also making visibly noticable muscle gains. When I go over I try to go under by…
-
It takes me 3 weeks before the scale budgets. I eat in a deficit and exercise 5miles of power walking a day without eating back exercise calories. Even then my losses are slow and sometimes I gain a pound or two. I've learned to use other measures to avoid discouragement. 1. Measuring myself (In 6 weeks I've lost 2 pants…

Different mayo and different tuna are different calories so you have to look at your can and mayo. For me my tuna is 90cal and my mayo is 20calories.
-
I add the tuna calories and the measured amount of mayo seperate personality.

Over night oats with almond milk. You can customize them adding fruit to some and raisins with cinnamon this is a super versatile option. Heated oatmeal either instant or regular with almond milk because it's lower calorie. I like gluten free waffles which are lower in calorie with 90% fewer calorie log cabin syrup and…

As a women with hormone issues, I have Endometriosis which makes weightloss harder I've learned some tricks that may also help someone entering menopause. Removing dairy and gluten remove a ton fat steadily because those are inflammatory foods also the alternatives for things like muffins end up lower calorie. All walking…

I'm having anxiety about going out with a friend because they are a food pusher that prefers resturaunts and I'm worried the hangout will lead to a binge that makes me feel like *kitten* and ruins my weekly deficit.
-
A cheat day is a plan to failure. I once plateaued for 6 months because my ex convinced me cheat days reset your metabolism... bs is what that is. It's better to go under one day and over the next making sure both days average out to your weekly deficit goal.

Menstration adds around 5lbs of water retention(average women) so if you're stalling it may be pre period weight or for you the weight drops 2 weeks and stalls a bit. It's never even weightloss over each week. That being said I weigh in after using the rest room every morning in my birthday suit. If you're backed up or not…
-
So I too just had a bad weigh in. What caused it? To much exercise and under eating... I am struggling with water retention. I'm 5'5" 154.4 lbs with a goal of 130lbs because of a medical condition. I shouldn't eat under 1500calories minimum dispute logging(not on mfp) at least 5-6 miles of power walking per day. My husband…
