Joanna, I have a friend that had that surgery and is steadily losing weight. I'm a professional weight loser/gainer and knowledge is key. The surgery is a tool, but you still must learn how to eat along the way. I wish you the best. By the way, we have the same last name. @joannabosley

I log every day, everything I eat. It's the only thing that works for me. 7 pounds in 7 days is great. I don't know how much you need to lose but it sounds like you're off to a great start. Look for a friend request. We can encourage each other. I'd like to lose 30 more, I've lost 40.8 pounds since March 20.

Hello! I've been using MFP since March 20 and in that time I've dropped 40.8 pounds!! I know it sounds like a lot (and it is and I'm happy about it) but I still have 30-40 to go. Try cutting out carbs. Maybe you're insulin resistant. I am, and eating carbs, even healthy carbs, make me gain weight. There is a book that's a pretty good read "The Insilin Resistance Diet". It describes me to a T.

Hi! I'm sort of new. I started in March. This is an awesome app if you need to keep yourself accountable. Log everything and add a bunch of friends because they'll motivate you. Good luck!

I know how I am so I don't put stuff in my house that I know is bad to put in my mouth. If you know you're going to snack, make sure all you have is healthy stuff. If I buy goodies for my daughter, I make her hide them in her room ;)
