Sent you a friend request. I'm trying to gain muscle, so we're on different paths, but the goal is the same: a healthy body. Good luck!

Looking to gain muscle mass, and I use MFP to track my macros. I would love some more friends!

I'm trying to gain weight, but I'd be happy to become an accountability buddy for you, if you don't mind. Send me a friend request if you'd like! Good luck!

Not really a fitness tracker, but I love my Garmin Fenix 3. I track everything with it, including my runs, my gym workouts, my squash practice, etc. That being said, I also have a Fitbit Charge on my other wrist, which I use to track my resting HR, among other things.

Thanks for all the feedback, everybody. Yes, like I mentioned, I will work to maintain my current shape (photo 2) regardless of what everybody thinks. I was just curious which one people preferred ;) I have always been happy about my body image, but I do prefer my current look. Thank you all! Very much appreciated.

Added you!

Nice, another olympic lifter! How long have you done olympic lifts?
-
Thanks for the add, guys & girls! Keep 'em coming!

JangBoo from South Korea, living in Tokyo. Looking to maximize my muscle mass and strength with lots of weight lifting, but I also love my trail runs! Feel free to add me.

@beautifulwarrior18 haha I do love the intensity I feel in the gym, but the tranquility I feel when running through the mountains is also surreal. Love them both!

@heybales: Thanks for your input. I do HIIT since I love trail running and competing in trail races, so I do it to train my aerobic fitness without having to do long runs, which I read are not good for muscle growth. But you do raise a good point in not giving my legs enough time to rest..

This is a great post. Thanks!

@Longevity100: Thank you so much for your detailed response! I'll try out the macro goals you suggested and see how my physique changes. @Hornsby: I agree - if I'm focused on building mass, 2370kcal won't cut it at all. I'll try to eat more! And could you give me a bit more feedback on my routine? Do you mean "crazy" as in…

Hey @Longevity100 , Thanks for your offer. My diary should be public, but in general, I shoot for 2,370kcal a day with 40% protein, 35% fat, and 25% carbs. (I tend to be more lenient with my carbs on my weight training days) I'm trying out 1 day of powerlifting movement, 1 day of olympic lifting, and 1 day of body…

Also on the journey to increased muscle mass! Feel free to add me!

Also, please feel free to add me on Fitbit: imjms737 [at] gmail

Always looking for fitness friends!

Good luck! I'm giving the Leangains diet a shot myself.

Thanks again for your input, heybales. A good point about running-induced muscle fatigue prohibiting my weight training progress. On days when I run and lift, I usually do upper-body body building exercises at the gym. On days when I only lift, I do lower-body heavy exercises, with olympic lifting movements (front squat,…

Always looking for lifting buddies!

1. When GC syncs food logged from MFP, it only takes meal totals, not meal items. 2. Theoretically, you are absolutely correct. I thought Fitbit would be able to take care of the duplicates from MFP and from Strava, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. For some reason, Fitbit is not able to detect that the…

Thanks for your followup, heybales. As far as I'm aware, the only way to link Garmin Connect and Fitbit is FitDataSync, which I find to be somewhat unreliable.. But even when it does work, it only syncs activities, so not quite the level of synchronization I want. (Quote from the FAQ of FitDataSync: "Only activities…

Thanks for your input, heybales. The limited scope of the MFP exercise diary is a very good point, but the downside of the original setup is that my GC account will not have a complete picture of my health and fitness, as my food log from MFP will no longer be sent to my GC. My main reason for linking MFP to GC is not…

Glad to hear you're looking into weight training. What sort of movements have you been doing?
