Yeah I've seen a lot of people saying I should be eating ~150g+, and I don't see how that would even be possible. My main concern is just fueling my muscles during weight loss. But maybe I don't have to worry so much. The protein macro is the only one is strive for. I just ignore breads and so forth too, of course.

My new physician does have my blood work. She started me with an inhaler since the chest pains are strictly exercise induced. I found it doesnt really help. But maybe you're spot on with the vitamin d! This has been an issue since I was a kid -- so I thought it was normal. I have supplements, I just forget to take them so…

Up your calories a little and played with your macros! People are satiated with different things. Find out what it is for you and incorporate more of it

I just suspect I have some case of insulin resistance cause even in a calorie deficit I struggle to lose weight eating carbs.

I admit I was nervous when you mentioned ranting. I thought you were going to yell at me! Hah. Actually this is all new to me. I didn't see a doctor to diagnose my thyroid, it was to try to figure out my chest pains. He ordered a full blood lab and when I went back, he said everything was clear and specifically said my…

Yes for me! Or well, lower carb (30g range). I don't intentionally count them strictly -- I just omit carb heavy foods. I miss them sometimes but I'm overall happy with meat and fatty goodness. The cravings aren't common. I also eat this way because despite calorie counting, I can't seem to lose weight with carbs included.…

I did try one but I said to eat something crazy like 170g of protein which I thought was way strange, so I don't know which ones are really reputable.
-
That's awesome! I'm glad that you were able to find something that works for you. (:

It's been a few weeks. Not very long. I go on walks for an hour or so at a time a few times a week. I have to be careful because I get really bad chest pains (doctors can't figure it out). But they say my thyroid is good when they tried to diagnose it. Where do you get 143g? I keep reading ~.4g per pound you are and that's…

I think it's normal. With any new workout regimen your body may have to readjust. I think what someone told me who underwent the full process said about 6 weeks? From couch potato to 40-90 min is a stark enough change I imagine. I'm also no expert.

I think also the angle we tend to see ourselves is a culprit, which has to do with how close most of us have to stand at bathroom mirrors. I've noticed I look AWFUL in bathroom mirrors. And also at full length mirror that are tiltable and they're tilted funny.

I second a diet break!! I recommend not crashing and eating a bunch of junk food unless you do that now within your calories. Try eating at maintenance for a few days and then come back to your defecit. It's takes a while but our bodies can get used to the lower caloric intake, which this is supposed to prevent c:

I had this problem a lot. Try packing snacks!! If snacking during your shift isn't an option, consider packing one for post work. This way, you can satiate your tummy enough to find nutritious foods when you get home. Small amounts of nuts, cheeses, fruit, meat roll ups, something you can control easily. Fattier foods or…

Seems like everyone has hit the nail on the head. You had more wiggle room given how much weight you had to lose. The closer you get to your goal... The harder it'll be. I think you haven't encountered stalls yet due to how rigorous you've been. Do you track inches? After you lose so much, your body can undergo a…

Curry!!! It doesn't take long (I think about 20 min?) And makes enough for a good week while being inexpensive to boot. Seriously, about 7 servings and there's lots of flavor~ You can use any meat. Shrimp is my fav. However it adds time if it isn't prepared beforehand or at the store. Local Asian markets have the good…

What about the diet keeps it from getting worse?
-
Ok, so it's more of using the wrong name! I can understand losing muscle being a problem. I imagine maintaining a high protein intake helps too. I've read some people suggesting to increase your caloric intake briefly to help counter this. Of course, I don't know how truthful it is. Theoretically I can see it being…

Kind of both! It's a subject I'm not knowledgeable on. Of course we wouldn't want to make it worse -- but if it's possible to avoid the issue or reverse existing plaque that'd be useful info~

I'm a huge newbie to understanding the sciences, and I'm hesitant to trust too much of the internet given all the inaccurate things. Do you guys know how LCHF lifestyles affect plaque in the arteries?
-
Same here! Even after 2 weeks, if I had something really carby I'd end up very ill. Our body loses the tolerance for it, I think.
-
Seeing this post is actually confusing me. Does this mean you reduce your caloric intake more? Does this mean you adjust your macros for more protein?
-
It's good for people with insulin resistance or other health concern some carbs contribute to though!

Did fantastic yesterday!! Aiming to do the same today. I'm sad tho cause I finally looked at the scale and I'd gained quite a bit. It'll be a while before I see a notable change I imagine, but I have to stay on top of it.

I would also take a look at food sensitivities!! I used to be in the same boat, I'm 5', with roughly 40lbs to lose. I exercised 4-5x a week, walked about 45min a day, and ate around 1200 calories. I should also note I ate CLEAN. However. The weight didn't budge. Not once, for months. No real measurement changes either,…

So far so good! Was kinda bad yesterday but it was a rough day overall. I mixed up my shifts and turns out I was 2 hours late for work!! So of course I rushed out without eating and had to work that way. The result?? There was some cereal at work I had, about 350 cal with milk. And I had 2 burgers and an ice cream cone…

I really stress the electrolyte thing!! It can really be a lifestyle change, but people quit and don't feel good because of low electrolyte. Seriously guys, salt is your friend. You'll need to consume more than you would usually -- likely a good deal more. But the WOE isn't hard at all ^^
-
I wasn't good yesterday because I was at the fair, but I made that conscious choice and I'm not punishing myself for it. I'm just continuing making better choices today. Tis a new day ^^
-
I'll join in too! I've been consistent on not eating badly for 3 or 4 days now. I'm pretty determined and trying prelogging foods.

You know I never actually thought to treat them like chips with dip!!!

I have the spirally thing too!! I didn't know that's where all the sugar is. Maybe we can kinda core them like you might an apple?
