  • On the advice of my doctor, I started keto in May after stalling out on CI/CO. It has been amazing for me. Not only have I lost 25 lb since then, I feel WONDERFUL!!! I aim for 25g or less total carbs daily. I try to keep my protein moderate and eat more healthy fat. The fat part is hard to accept...it goes against…
  • I’ve been following keto since May in the advice of my doctor. I’ve lost 25 since then, with a week vacation that was very much NOT keto thrown in there in June. 19 lb in under 4 weeks is amazing. Keep hustlin!!!
  • Request sent! You got this!!!
  • Not everyone has the capacity to post every day or multiple times per day. Maybe that’s because they don’t have the time or maybe it’s just not how they roll. I’m not a frequent poster either but have been here off and on for years. Find your groove and hang in there! Sending friend request. :)
  • Hi dorisb57! I’ve been following a keto lifestyle since May in the advice of my physician. I have lost about 25 pounds since then, even with a week long vacation that was NOT keto at all in June. It’s tough at first but it truly is effective and you can still eat good foods. Once I got used to it I felt better than I’ve…
  • It's hard to be surrounded by people who don't "get it." Great job on achieving your goals! Stick with it and if you struggle, dust off and get back at it! There are certainly highs and lows - I just hope for my highs.
  • There is nothing quick or easy about the journey!! I'm sure you'll find a whole bunch of MFP friends who understand and believe that!! Day by day...I learn from my mess-ups daily. Unfortunately. :/
  • I'm always happy to have more Garmin friends. I use a Vivosmart hr+ and LOVE it. Anyone is welcome to add me: toniquimby
  • Way down in South Georgia!!! ;)
  • When I first started running, I had it in both feet. I still occasionally get a flare up. Podiatrist told me no more running, taped my feet with arch pads that did nothing but keep me out of the shower for days on end, and made me some very expensive orthotics. I went to a running store and talked to the experts. He told…
  • Add me if you like!! I'm on a 95+ day logging streak so I'm on here several times a day!!
  • Jalexor the + has GPS built in. I use it for outdoor run/walk workouts. I'm a Garmin fan for several years and I really like the functionality of the Vivosmart HR. Good luck to you!!!
  • Great job in the 10lb AND getting under 200!! Keep on keeping on!
  • I'm older than you, but our other stats are similar. I started at 248.2. My highest weight ever. I'm now down 24 pounds. Not sure what my goal is. I'm thinking I'll know it when I get there. Lol. Feel free to add me!! Congrats on the commitment to yourself and your child!
  • Using Vivosmart HR+ since a couple days after it was released. Add me on Garmin Connect and MFP!!! Garmin username toniquimby.
  • I currently do this most days of the week but just recently learned it had a name. :D I usually skip breakfast. Eat lunch at noon. Generally stop eating by 8pm. When I stick to this, I get good results. Sticking to it with a family that wants to eat all 3 meals on weekends is tough.
  • I have been on MFP for quieter a while. Most of my friends have quit logging and posting. Anyone is welcome to friend me!! I'm on a 90+ day logging streak so I'm here every day!! Good luck to all of you. MFP is a WONDERFUL tool!
  • I have used multiple BB programs over the years. So effective and fun!! Cool to be in the test group and great results so far! Good job!
  • I have felt the same as you at times. I lost 100 kb nearly 10 years ago at which time I was finally able to get pregnant with my son. I have gained all of it back over the years. I don't have medical reasons, I'm just very overweight. Have lost 25 and have at least another 75 to get where I need to be. Add me if you like.…
  • I'm in a 90+ day logging streak so I'm definitely "present"!!! Most of my MFP friends have quit so I'm still here chugging along alone. Lol. Feel free to add me if you want!!!
  • Congrats on finishing nursing school! I'm a RN x 18 years! Feel free to add me. Most of my old friends from MFP have quit and I'm still chugging along. :)
  • I'll join and go for 25 miles. I'm slow and out of shape so we shall see... ;)
