It's a learning curve, eating a little less calories than you burn every day. Don't complicate it with keto or anything else drastic. Small changes that you can sustain forever without much effort make the biggest impact in the end. Exercise is not necessary for weight loss, but the RIGHT exercise will help control your…

Flavored fizzy water or diet soft drink instead of the empty calories from the regular dr pepper. Instead of creamy sauces on carby pasta try vegetable based main course with lean protein and a low cal sauce or dressing or salsa. Also, weight lifting is great for health and looking good after you shed the pounds, but it's…

I weeded, mulched and planted mums in my mom's front garden. She's been increasingly unable to do it herself, but reluctant to let anyone else do it. She was freaking out that I would kill her spring bulbs but I sifted them out and popped them right back in. Hoping they bloom again. After pondering it for a week, she now…

Adderall is used off-label for MS fatigue. I have seen it work well. But I agree that this is a conversation for your doctor.

You think that's bad, my dog's snoring wakes me up a couple times a week. He's a 13 pound Maltese and I wear ear-plugs to bed. I'm thinking HE should have a sleep study

Sit down with a piece of paper and rate those goals in the order of importance (to you). Then rate them in order of how fit you have to be to start working on them. Start from the beginning  Periodically reassess. I would start with Yoga with Adriene '30 days of yoga' on YouTube. It can be a window into how much…

Sometimes injury sites are sensitive long after they have healed. If you are cleared medically to exercise, then maybe it's time to increase load on those limbs extremely gradually. A physiotherapist is the right person to help with that. Beyond that, you could try a stationary bike, if you want to add cardio.

You know, that list will make a decent dinner salad topped with low cal dressing and your protein of choice. That has been my easy/lazy solution for the last 4 months and I'm at 35 pounds lost. Calorie counting all the way, of course. Get chopping 😁

With so little weight to lose the important thing will be the accuracy of your logging.

Fabulous job!

Maybe it's the dreaded keto flu?

Skipping breakfast that I wasn't really hungry for and keeping busy till lunch.

Weigh in grams and log calories. Can be a significant number.

Sounds like you're not eating back those exercise calories. Consider eating back at least half of them, unless you've marked your activity as 'very active.'
-
Avoid alcohol and nicotine as they can slow healing.

Reading the success stories forum here and looking at the pictures. Walking outside when it's nice out, knitting when it's not. I also don't buy any foods I find impossible to portion-control.

That's incredible! You did amazing!

Where the Crowdads Sing by Delia Owens. Interesting so far.

Thank you all for posting about your bike adventures. Does anyone bring their dog? Asking for a friend 🐶

You're probably walking less being at home. Spot reducing (of fat) is not a thing. More likely you lost muscle.

Carrying my dog upstairs got so much easier. He's a 13 pound rescue Maltese, and didn't know what stairs were when I adopted him. We're working on that. Back in May, when I restarted my WL journey, it was so hard to catch my breath after climbing to the 3rd floor after our walk. My HR was 130 I felt lightheaded from…

Nothing bad about bread. Just needs to be weighed for an accurate measurement of all the calories eaten that day. Anecdotally, when I started to read labels, I found my first 'healthy' bread was a little lower in fiber and higher in calories than my regular light rye bread. So I switched back, because the sacrifice of…

Bread is one of the most calorie-dense things on my menu, and the one that the pieces vary most widely in weight. So yes, I have learned to weigh it. If you go to your goals again and reenter the info with your current weight, you will see a few less daily calories alotted. Sometimes that makes me a little sad, because I…

My first thought is you may be anemic, especially with your age, gender and the rapid weightloss. How is your iron intake? How close to 100% over the last month?

Another vote for the food scale here! At the very least it will confirm that you are logging accurately, but I suspect you will find some sources of error, like I did. This is how I log a peanut butter and banana sandwich (open-faced): 1. Plate on scale. On/tare. 2. Bread on plate. Record grams. Tare. 3. Smear PB on bread,…

Hey, I just noticed what you put as an example of your daily food intake. It sounds like you could benefit from some more nutrition there. Say, green vegetables and fruit, lean protein, healthy fats. You can eat what you like, of course, and still achieve your weight and bodybuilding goals. I’m just suggesting you explore…

3 months I’ve been supplementing Magnesium and it has been helping with anxiety and sleep. I started slowly and ramped up to full dose over 2 weeks to prevent any digestive side effects, and that worked out really well.
