This is a bunch of bro science. You dont build muscle on a deficit, at best you can gain a very very tiny amount if you are a beginner if you work a lot of volume, take your protein and necessary rest. Any gains you might chalk up to 'muscle gain' on a deficit like improved strength are the result of neurological changes…

Sounds like you need a break from your dieting. Did you do a straight cut for several months? Usually it is best to aim for 3 months tops followed by another 3 months of maintenance. It really breaks you down mentally if you don't take those breaks. Eating 4/5 meals clean and healthy is normal. That means 20% of your food…

You don't need sugar in its refined form, you can cut those out completely if you can. Replace with high quality carbs 2h before and right after your workout, like rice (preferably brown), pasta (whole wheat), couscous, bulgur, oats etc. To use your expression, yes they hit good. :D You will feel a lot better during…

BMI is a load of crap. It is a very vague indication. Once you start getting near your goal you can tell if you need to loose more or not. If you really want to be precise about it, at that point you can get a dexa test. Based on where you live it might not be cheap. To answer your question, your body doesn't 'want'…

Not everyone has the same metabolism and circumstance so comparing yourself to others imho is a very bad idea. Its way better to get there slower and keep it off without breaking your body further rather than torturing yourself because of peer pressure. Do what is sustainable and healthy FOR YOU

Depends on how far I dipped in the darkside. If its just 200 cals I wouldn't worry about it really, just get back to your regular routine if it works. There's also calorie cycling you might want to google, its not a terrible thing per se. Having some days off your deficit can be good. If you binged food and instead of your…

This has been exactly my day so far. Minus the wine. I'm going to drink some wine.

Amazeballs! May I ask, I've read in your previous post that you have cut out meat, how do you keep up with your protein needs and about how much protein do you aim for?

Have more energy to play with my doggos!!!

I found this video to be illuminating on this subject, hope it helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CdwWliv7Hg I know its 1 hour long but it's worth it. :)

May I ask what were your daily calorie / macro goals? Thanks a lot, you are an inspiration to follow!

Holy *kitten*.

Well I never understood from where do people get the willpower to get into the gym hungover. Yet alone do it on daily basis. I always think of this when I'm hungover, how the flying *kitten* do people survive this daily. My take on this is what Carlin said, its like being a paraplegic lap dancer: you CAN do it, but ... :))…

That's tough. But from what I can gather you are more than capable of taking care of yourself, you should take a moment to just think about that and let it sink in. But you also fall off the wagon from time to time, for this reason you have to learn to love yourself and your body will thank you for it. Love, of life or for…

I feel you. I have the same problem. What I do is try and guestimate the calories for the meal. I do WEIGH it so its not completely a blind guess — that should not be that weird (although I did feel a bit awkward when I started out). If you see your weight loss stalling just reduce your calorie intake, in the long run it…

Well I drink 2 coffees at work and after work I go straight to the gym. I don't know if that counts. But I want to quit coffee anyways, so ..

I'm positive my opinion doesn't matter in this regard as I can't speak on behalf of all the men on the planet, but I think it's safe to assume for most this new trend is not attractive at all.

Because people said i couldn't. People at my workplace can be dicks.

Im pretty sure my charge 2 waaay overestimates. On days that I do ~20 min moderate HIIT cardio + 40 min lifting and lets say maybe groceries (I do like to wonder the isles) it says I burned 4,000+ kcals!!! Thats just insane no way I burning that much. Im a 29 year old dude weighing 80kgs. So tbh I just ignore it and shoot…

If you weigh yourself once a week its not very reliable data. Either don't get bothered by it or weigh yourself daily in the morning and calculate a weekly average. Half a pound is very much in the ballpark of acceptable margin of error due to water retention. Also there is no way of knowing if you are indeed eating…
-
Do you weigh or log what you eat ? Unless you do theres no way to tell if you are indeed eating 1200 cals or more. If you are positive your calculations are correct just dont worry about it, it will nudge eventually. The laws of physics demand it :)
-
It only maters how many calories you eat / 24hrs vs. the calories you burn. In this regard it is irrelevant wether you sleep regular hours or no. Although It would be advised to have a proper sleep schedule :)

Congratz man keep up the great work! I thought it was stupid too at first .. .. now i just have to figure out a way to make my coworkers understand why its not stupid

I'm a guy on the totally wrong side of the internet.

Well its more the case of people getting offended or at the very least getting on the defensive if you try and hint that they should change their lifestyle. I would venture that the large majority of overweight people are NOT healthy ... ofc I guess they can be called 'currently not sick' if you just screen them on a bunch…

That makes perfect sense. 3rd grade math why have ye abandoned me?! Now it seems such a stupid question to ask.. Thanks for the help!

Thank you very much for your replies. I will try out the batch chicken cooking advice, maybe cook some for 1-2 days in advance. In the meantime I ordered some of the stuff, a smaller package as I wont have time to cook every day.
