I currently weight 280lbs and have been sedentary for over 5 years. I want to work slowly towards running but just don't feel like I'm ready for it yet. I did however run a very short distance to catch my bus the other day and didn't feel as winded as I normally do (I've been doing other cardio daily)

@andycool22 yeah, reviving the DDR! I don't know what I'm going to do when my dance pad breaks. They don't really sell good ones anymore. Paranoia is hecka hard... I can only play on easy right now.

Thanks for sharing! Per some of what the posters above are saying, just be careful with the amount you are eating. I've read that men should eat no less than 1500 cal a day and it looks like you are only eating about 1000 or so.

I workout at home. I only have a bench and weights. I'm not too educated on weight training and would like to get more ideas if you have any ideas for beginners! I also want to incorporate chest exercises but haven't begun any research on that yet.

Maybe it's an excuse but I feel like I am too heavy right now to just jump into running. If I do I probably won't go very far lol. I was able to do the elliptical for 10 min last week. I'm going to gradually increase the duration and frequency..but probably very slowly. I think I'll add squats and lunges too. Pushups...I…

Thanks for the replies! I used to be a hula hoop champ in grade school so I bought it to see if I could still do it. Turns out I can't because of all the weight gain. I'll try again when I lose more weight.

I usually use the barcode scanner to get the most accurate nutritional info for the exact product I'm eating. Usually when I do that it won't say if it's the dry or cooked weight. The box doesn't say dry or cooked either. Should I just assume that's the cooked weight so I don't risk over eating?

I thought it was just me. Mine worked yesterday but not today. Also it says i burned 1/4 of the calories I did yesterday and I have the same amount of steps..

I thought of this recently and haven't done it consistently, but... I'm female so I put on lipstick after I have a meal as extra incentive not to eat anything else until the next meal. As for liquids, use a straw to not mess up the lipstick.
