You can do this! Small steps. Please let us know how you're doing and if you need any other encouragement or advice.

I'm so sorry for the anxiety that you face. The gym can be a scary place and in the same breath it can be a victorious place. Perhaps making some goals would be the best way to form the habit of getting to the gym, for instance; first goal -: walk in the door, go to the change rooms, leave second goal -: walk in the door,…

At work I always keep a yogurt in the fridge, some popcorn, crackers and an apple in my drawer. These are more typically eaten as "snack" foods for me but if I need them for lunch I'll have 2-3 of them together. I've also started keeping a pack of protein soya chips in my car in-case I am out and don't have anything or…

So OP, what was in your salad? I find that I cannot bulk make salads for the week - the lettuce and cucumber go goopy and that puts me off :( So I make a salad every night and by doing this each one is slightly different, some of my favorite salad ingredients are; - roasted butternut squash (add feta, lentils and some…

Cottage cheese, Mini sausages/ hot dogs Cheese strings eggs, biltong/ jerky, tuna salad, chicken wings, meatballs... :) plenty of high protein options for snacks. If you're looking for more of a food, a bean and cheese quesidilla can be quite high in protein.

I'm very sorry but you cannot be sure your portions are correct UNLESS you are accurately weighing each item that you eat. I would suggest you invest in a food scale. Similarly it could also be intensified because of your impending TOM. Have you "recalibrated" your goal - after every 10pounds you lose you are meant to…

I Love that analogy!!!

The problem is when the one days start becoming the norm. I have had situations (like yesterday) where I indulged slightly but made an effort to try and keep it in my calories, do I feel guilty? No, did I make sure I went to gym yesterday and today? Yes. Balance is so important in life and in weight-loss, if your not able…

Feel free to add me, I'm in South Africa but have a few friends in NZ and it's nice to have people from different timezones active at different times :)

Are you close to your TOM? I've had that kinda craving around that time and the only thing that helped it was to go out and exercise, no amount of food or drink could quench it.

I created a "Gym (Various Cardio/ Ex)" Exercise and then just put in my calorie burn into that - solves all my problems whether I'm sticking with cardio or including circuit/ weights. Please keep in mind that a fitbit does not accurately show your calories burnt and will grossly over/ under-estimate (I train with a HR…

I second/ third the Plantronics, they are amazing, sound quality is super and as mentioned they don't get in the way of my long hair!

I've split my weight-loss up into smaller amounts as well, I haven't really rewarded myself for the smaller amounts but I've already bought my reward for when I've lost my 20kgs (which should hopefully be in a few weeks time) because I feel like this is a large enough amount to deserve a treat... what is it, oh...…

How are you tracking your calorie intake? Are you weighing your foods using a food scale? Are you new to exercise or have you upped your exercise days?

My latest smoothies have been the following: Frozen strawberries Cottage Cheese 60ml milk fruit - Banana/ pawpaw/mango/ etc. Oatbran/ oats seeds Lots of protein, very filling and yummy!! It also means I don't have to worry about running out of expensive protein shake as I can usually pick up cottage cheese pretty cheaply.…

I usually stick with Wheetabix, milk and a spoonful of sugar but lately I've been making myself some protein smoothies which have been super filling, instead of using protein powder I've been doing: 125g Fat free cottage Cheese 60ml of fat free milk 100g banana 50-75g strawberries (or any combination of fruit) 5g honey 20g…

Relax, If you are sick listen to your body the most important thing is getting back to 100% health. Try to stomach some soup or broth - nothing fancy - and sip that a few times. You can also use an electrolyte drink to ensure that you are getting proper nutrients. When you are able to start stomaching solid foods again…

Feel free to add me, I'm on everyday and always add my food. Also give a thumbs up or comment to motivate :)

Instead of giving up banana's why not do the following; Purchase similar sized banana's, take one and weigh it (skin on), then peel it and weigh skin off - estimate the skin weight of the other similar sized banana's.

There are very few reasons why you would not be loosing and (I would say 90%) of the time it's down to user error. Although it seems counter-intuitive please up your calories, unless you are incredibly short you do not need to be eating less than 1200. In the long term you could end up causing your body some serious harm.…

Enter your details (height, weight, activity level) into MFP, eat those calories. Weigh your food, choose the correct database entries. Exercise and decide how much of those burnt calories you would like to eat back. This is healthy.

Veggies might not be necessary for weightloss but as everyone has said they are very good for fibre, keeping you full and for minerals and vitamins. perhaps try hiding your veggies in foods, for instance I make a slow cooker pulled pork with 2-3 onions instead of one, grated carrots and baby marrow - by the time you eat it…

I agree with @GothamVeggie, MFP friends are great for motivation and support. Feel free to add me if you would like :)

Firstly, you are already a healthy weight for your height - which explains why weight-loss is slow, Secondly, you need to go see a DOCTOR whenever you mess with your biological functioning it's not a good thing and although you may not be seeing any other problems (thyroid etc.) now if you carry on like this you could see…

I think youre forgetting the most important weight-loss rule... Weight-loss is not linear, you are not always going to show a loss, you are not always going to show a gain, sometimes you will stay the same. There are lots of factors that affect this, exercise, recovery time, hormones, sodium intake, TOM, water retention…
