It went really well 👍, thanks!

The back pain I was experiencing was resolved right away after the surgery. Best of luck @icemom011 !

Initially I had to be a bit careful turning my head left (right was completely normal) which made driving a bit difficult until I got used to using the mirror instead of jerking my head around to the left. A bit stiffness tilting my head up for a few months too. All that passed though with time and physical therapy. My…

Good luck @icemom011 let us know how you make out. Prior to my ACDF surgery (C4-C6) at the end of 2016, I had numbness & tingling from fingers to elbow on the left arm, numbness through both legs from toes to hips, & numbness and pain (seems odd now that I type it) across lower back, legs etc. I could walk generally fine,…

Google Driscoll's blueberries nutrition facts; bring a you to driscoll's website where 1 cup (148g) is their recommended serving for 84 calories. 25g should be 14 calories.

Great work! What was in the stein?

Start walking, you can jog later once you've become more comfortable doing so. Quit smoking; don't care what others do, your doing it for yourself not them. Track calories. CICO - you'll lose weight eating less calories then you use - use the suggested calories MFP gives you. Weigh your food, a scale will be an eye opener.…

^^This. I've really expanded my vinegar selection after being told to reduce sodium due to BP levels. Surprised me how much something acidic can reduce the need for salt.

Yep, just keep moving. My brain tells me most mornings 'I just don't think we should run today' ....most mornings it's wrong, but it takes a while for it to give in.....

No.

Only restaurants over a certain number (chains) have to post calories. The rest do not. As I usually eat at the rest, I estimate.

Create recipe, enter raw weight, steam. Weigh total cooked, enter that total as serving size on recipe. Then weigh whatever you use and that weight is your serving size for that meal.

No worries, just misread post.

Confused. Did you read the other thread you wrote?

What do you want? What I think is immaterial.....

3 years using MFP. Lost 110lbs 2016-2017, maintaining since

Lost 110lbs 2016-2017, couldn't exercise for most if that time; just turned 54 and keeping it off. When people ask how, I say I stopped giving myself reasons why 'I couldn't'.
-
Generally I get the 'why are you weighing you food, you already lost weight?' Most are fine once they realize I'm not trying to lose more (lost 110lbs). Honestly at this point in maintenance it's habit, I like seeing the data; whether I'm over/ under on a particular day doesn't matter too much compared to trends.

When I was losing, my orginal goal was to get me back to my university weight; then I realized that wasn't enough, about 20lbs under that now for the last 2+ yrs

Agree, very much mental. If I had a coffee my brain would think cigarette... so I stopped drinking coffee for several months until that association was broken. Commuting was hard as well as I would often smoke while stuck in traffic; had to change that association too so ended up using celery & carrots until that traffic…

Smoked for 30-35 years told myself it wasn't a big deal as I wasn't a heavy smoker.... Agree with @pondee629 , nothing would have stopped me until I just knew I wanted to quit, then it was, 'I'm not smoking today' Repeat. What method works for you @Chelle8070 , likely only you can know that; nothing wrong with trying a…

Thanks! I think it is pretty normal to feel a bit anxious, but you'll find what works best for you. Personally I still track calories and check my weight but its become more of a habit then a necessity.

Learning what constitutes a portion helped, & once I started using a scale, was fairly straightforward. I had doubts throughout most of the time I was losing but I kept logging, I just kept moving forward. Never really hit a plateau but my loss slowed down substantially near the end which felt like a plateau to me!

Depends on what you like & can fit in your calories. I always had 'emergency' almonds for traffic jams on the way home.....

SW: 265lbs (Feb 2016) Lost 110lbs (Jan 2017) and now maintaining for almost 2 years CW: 157lbs (Nov 2018) I was told by a friend recently "Your too thin, maybe you should go to the gym...." I've been hitting the gym since Feb 2016, I know I'm not a muscular guy but I didn't think I was doing that badly... :(

I lost approximately 10 average housecats

When you do a search, there is a 'Create Exercise' button at the bottom of the screen (on phone app). You can then create your walk with speed/incline that you want.
