It can seem overwhelming tracking everything and figuring out the app at first, but it's also exciting! After a week or two you'll have it down.
-
Yes, your first step is to do this to get a target calorie goal. Then either buy the staples that janejellyroll suggested or look up the calories on the $ menu items if you want to stick with that and track EVERYTHING in MFP. Stick to your calorie limit.
-
Have you figured out your calorie limit on MFP yet?

I completed my first two weeks of ELEL and was able to drop 11.5 lbs (it's less impressive when you know I gained 11 the week before, but....) Yesterday started a two week diet break and I was down another two on the scale this morning so that was nice. I'm interested to see what another two week cycle of ELEL will bring…

Oops, others posted while I was responding. Who was in Reservoir Dogs with Uma Thurman

Who was in The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz.

This stuff is (1) geared toward that small percentage and (2) geared toward those that want to get there so advertisers can make money. Also, I think this discussion may seem so prolific to you because these are the types of publications you seek/forums you hang out in (as do I). Like Vintage said, most of my…

Hip thrusts are the culprit for me. Every single time. And jumping jacks.

That could be due to their sugar addiction. (j/k, j/k!!)

Well done!

Oops  @Gallowmere1984 I hadn't realized that Legion reduced the amount of caffeine in Pulse. I hadn't noticed at all. It'll be interesting to see if, now that I know, I'll feel very sleepy.

If someone uses steroids, then stops, are they able to maintain the muscle they gained (presuming they continued to lift heavy and meet protein minimums) or will the automatically lose some muscle? Just curious.
-
You've participated - there is no escaping now.

Pulse is what I use - love it!

I use pre-workout when I'm eating in a deficit and don't want to use any of my precious calories at 4:30am prior to my 5am workouts. I've not needed to use more than the recommended dosage, and I cycle off during rest weeks. My history includes 20 years (on an off) of setting my alarm to get up in the morning to exercise…

Eyes on the prize!!!

I figured it was the classic "good game" touch we see in most sports. Opposed to the ol' "bad game" touch, which is unsportman-like.
-
That's a great chart. OP - ditto to what everybody is saying. I have a sweet tooth too. When I'm in a deficit I like to have an Enlightened ice cream bar every night (80-90 calories). They're really tasty and they're big! I also like to have an afternoon snack that's on the sweet side. So, Greek yogurt with chocolate…

@Gimsteinn1 amazing work!

Great thread and great progress!

From your title I thought maybe you only ate Peeps for 17 days. The Peep Diet would be pretty easy to navigate during Easter. I've never heard of the 17 day diet.
-
Amazing work! You look great.

I started my two week phase of Eat Less Exercise Less yesterday. The scale showed an 11 lb increase for last week, but I'm down 4lbs overnight. I'm already feeling tons better.
-
Oh my, I think like 40 lbs both times. Being pregnant was very freeing for me. It was the first time that I wasn't allowed to diet and all the pressure and anxiety of being so body/weight conscious just went away.
-
It's definitely subjective. There's the BIG power lifting guy and then there's the big cut/lean guy with tons of definition. Sounds like you were his kind of big *wide-eyed stare*
-
Congratulations on losing 10 lbs!!! That's an amazing achievement, end of story.
-
What a beautiful and motivating thought.

Nice name change!

As females, though, we don't want to be that low, right? Our inner workings could stop, well, working.

I've been seeing a lot of sled pushing at the gym lately. I've never tried it. ETA: I'd also really like to hit that big tire with the sledgehammer (or whatever that is) once.
