Let's see...if I cut off at 7PM I would never drink alcohol and no junky party food...yep, that would shave off a few calories here and there. Heck, I might not even eat dinner some nights and that would DEFINITELY reduce my caloric intake! The only magic in the 7PM cutoff is that a lot of uncontrolled eating goes on in…

The glorious thing about LCHF when I did it was the absence of hunger. If that does not happen for you and you are overeating and miserable, I can't see why you would continue. It might be time to look at other possible reasons for your binging. --Are you trying to maintain a very low weight? This can cause a host of…

I thought that strong hamstrings are a really good thing for runners? Fewer injuries related to quad/hamstring imbalance?

Wow. Three hours waiting? I am assuming he was coming to pick you up at your house? Did he actually realize this was a date or was it a casual "if you are going to be around, I'll stop by this afternoon sometime" kind of thing? Was this a first in person meeting or is he someone that has "qualities" that make you willing…

YAY they are now friends. A fairy tale ending!

Did they tell you why they now think it is PMDD? Are they basing this off of some specific tests or because they haven't found anything better? Seems odd to me that you would go from almost no PMS symptoms to such a severe form of them. What types of doctors have you seen so far? Gyno and ? I get the really strong feeling…

I think he read that other thread about whether bananas are healthy, decided they were not, and thus were fair game to add to his junk food habit.

Seems odd to me to choose your pond so that you can appear to be a bigger fish. On an absolute scale you are the same size fish regardless of who you compare yourself to. You've only been running for 2 months! You can put your times into the calculator below and see how you compare on a local/regional/national/world class…

At 43 and divorced, I would not rule it out. With the following caveats: How are your relationships with your exes? If you are the kind of person who burns bridges, it's probably not a good idea. If you are the kind of person who dates people who turn out to be crazy, probably not a good idea. If you looking for casual…

I'm not a huge fan of salads, so I tend to go for a variety of cooked vegetables. Squash, collard greens, green beans, pinto beans, etc. Usually the baked chicken is pretty good, or the roast, and sometimes there are non-breaded fish choices or steak. That all goes on one plate. If I have a second smaller plate, it will be…

It works both ways I think. Ask anyone who's gone from eating little fiber to many cups of veggies without a transition. You will probably have to ask them through the bathroom door. Our guts have many types of bacteria that help us digest the food, and the numbers and types depend on what kind of food they are digesting…

If I am more active, it is SO much easier for me to run a deficit. If I am sedentary, sometimes even maintenance feels intolerably low.

All of mine are pretty standard...farted in yoga (they don't call it "wind release pose" for no reason), realized my yoga pants were see-through when my husband pointed out he could see the pattern of my underwear through them, realized I had a strategically disadvantageous hole in a pair of yoga pants *after* class, wore…

You could look up some chair fitness workouts to see if any of them might work. Or there might be some arm or core workouts on fitness blender that you could do (or adapt). It's going to be difficult to get the kind of calorie burns that you could from running, though. Your doctor may have additional suggestions or be able…

As long as I've eaten at least one meal sometime during the day, I'm usually OK even if it's been several hours. I have to be careful if I exercise too much in the morning before breakfast (can get nauseous or dizzy), but if I eat too much and then exercise I also get nauseous so it's just tricky for me to do intense…

Your timeframe doesn't seem too bad...40 weeks, 45 pounds, and the top of their weight chart is pretty generous (around the top end of overweight if I was looking at it correctly), so it should be a very doable project if you stick with your calories and start at 1.5-2 pounds a week for loss (reducing this as you get…

You mentioned that the treadmill is out because it's too high impact. Does that include walking?

Foam rolling is aaaaaaaah-mazing. My favorite spot--the sides/back of the hips. I was going to try my kid's lacrosse ball on my back but the rubber was so stinky I didn't even want to touch it.

This is exactly what I was thinking. In a woman in her reproductive years, amenorrhea is a symptom of an underlying condition of some sort. It should not be dismissed or allowed to go unexplained, as it is associated with later infertility and osteoporosis.

If you previously exercised and did NOT eat the exercise calories (that were increasing your calories expended), that definitely affects you when you stop. You might have thought it was a bonus, when in reality it was the only thing between a maintenance level of calories and gaining. People with thyroid issues can't…

If you have outdoor space...ropes course, obstacle course.

60g should be something like 3/4 cup. If you measure out 60g then put that in a measuring cup, how much is it? I hope your scales aren't going wonky!

I would not judge happiness based on how others appear, for all you know they are also forcing smiles. Maybe happiness to them doesn't mean smiling or being personable. What does happiness feel like to you? Are you looking to the outside of others to assign a lack of something internal to yourself? My latest thinking on…

I know the feeling...kids in bed, everything squared away for tomorrow...now it's ME time. Find ways to pamper yourself or unwind without food...nice bath, a book, etc. You can also save calories for an evening snack if you like. If it's planned and fits in your macros/micros, why not?

Some people feel hungry with maintenance calories. To feel a bit hungry while losing is normal and expected. To think that you may have to feel a bit hungry *for the rest of your life* in order to maintain can be unbearable and unsustainable. Sets the stage for falling back into old habits. You start rationalizing a big…

I like ginger snaps. They are spicy enough that I can eat one and be done. Sometimes tangy lemon wafer cookies work the same way for me.

Nothing stopping you from increasing to 1900 this week and seeing what happens. Are you eating your exercise calories back?
-
I've thought about eating one meal a day, but the thought of having to eat 7-9 servings of vegetables/fruit in one meal...that would be extremely uncomfortable for me due to the bulk. I could easily get enough calories in one meal, but not in a balanced way.

The exercise you do will be added back to your calorie goal, so if you do 300 calories worth of exercise it will change your calorie goal (the amount it expects you to eat and still lose 2 pounds), to 1640+300=1940. If you exercise and don't eat your exercise calories (at least a portion of them because MFP often…
