It's perfect to me when juuuust the right amount of milk is added, and less than a teaspoon of brown sugar. Cinnamon if I'm feeling frosty.

Relaxing on the sofa is even more enjoyable *after* a workout!

I couldn't help but notice that the only people with profile pics showing their teeth are Americans. :#

Nooooo! That would make for a terrible enema!

If I am in a phase where I am consistently hungry in the evening I save out a bigger portion of my daily calories for the evening meal/snacks. If it's boredom eating I move my workout later (can't eat while working out, and it blunts my appetite for a while). I also admit to occasionally going to bed early if I just don't…

Your binges are cutting significantly into your deficit, increasing your 7 day average to 1950 calories. That puts you at an overall 450-650 per day deficit without exercise. Adding in your average 317 calories per day exercise, that comes to 767-967 calories per day deficit. 1000 per day deficit is what you "should" need…

There is an exercise entry for "walking, carrying infant or 15-lb load". Perhaps that would work?

While you are getting help for this, I would plan errands, park time, library time, etc. for the "bad hours". If staying out of the house helps, do it. Gaining up to 40 pounds in a single month is not run of the mill boredom eating. If this could be a side effect of any of your medications, work with a doctor to see what…

I soooo want to say it's because they can't reach the pedals. (Short person here, and that's actually sometimes true. :D )

I think that OP may have a different experience with cravings than some do. If I felt like eating a normal portion of seafood and veggies one day, I wouldn't even think to categorize that as a "craving". One definition of craving involves intense/urgent/abnormal longing, and I think that fits better with what people want…

Sounds like you are under quite a bit of stress now. Are you able to commit to the process of losing weight right now? If not, it's OK for it not to be a priority but be honest about it. It's very easy to let things slide a bit (unconsciously) even if you think you are eating the same things, unless you are…

Are these the same people who "diet" harshly and excessively, reach goal (or give up because it's too hard), then gain everything back when they give a huge sigh of relief and go back to eating "normally"? Finding a way to fit in treats without eating too much and while still getting in proper nutrition is a really good…

My husband got relief through chiropractic treatment and doctor prescribed stretches/exercises. Meds alone are probably not enough especially if you are doing something in your daily life that is continually aggravating it (doc should be able to help you pinpoint that).

Sorry if this is a silly question, but if you are not going to add anything to add to/disguise the flavor of the greens, wouldn't it be easier to just eat the greens on a plate? Adding 1 cup of water and nothing else just means it will take longer to choke them down if you don't like them, and if you do like them it's…

I just got back from one. My rules were... maximum one dessert a day don't forget about the veggies don't forget to drink enough water if it looks better than it tastes I don't have to finish it if I get full don't continue eating. One plate of food ended up being enough most of the time, I ate a variety of things I…

I usually just wait it out--it almost always settles down in a few days. I've tried feeding that bottomless pit, and there really is no reasonable calorie amount that helps me. If it lasts too long, I reduce my carbs and make sure I am getting enough protein, fiber, and fat.
-
Isn't depression a possible side effect of a protein deficient diet? And your current situation leaves you unable to exercise? These sound like bad effects to me, ones that increasing your protein intake might help with. I would talk to your doctor about this. It is very possible to not see things clearly when in the midst…

I read that it can take 15 separate tries to become accustomed to a food, and for supertasters that number is more like 50. When you work the numbers on what it would take to get to 50 (not a typo...fifty!) tries on a food, it is pretty discouraging, but it can be worth it. If I work at it, I can turn 2-3 foods a year into…

What is your plan for maintenance? You need to work really hard on finding foods you actually like to eat that will stay with you long past the "diet" part and keep you at maintenance weight or you will likely to gain it all back. I'd hate to see all the rattlesnake venom go to waste!

It looks like an oversized banana pudding to me!

If you google "clean bulk" you will find some lists that might help add some calories and variety (other lean meats like pork and lowfat beef cuts, fish, nuts, avocado, fruit). A homemade gainer shake with protein powder, peanut butter, and lower sugar fruits might also help get the calories down easier.

I read that the first 8 fasting days on ADF are the hardest and that it gets easier from there. I've never made it that far myself because I didn't plan in advance for the fasting days and did not make good choices on the fasting days after I got hungry. I would like to give it a go again sometime. For those wondering…

Online dating. Have a friend set you up. Have a co-worker set you up. Get involved in activities where you will share a common interest. Volunteer. Don't seem desperate, work on being happy by yourself and you will attract someone to you. Therapy might help, you don't seem to have a realistic image of relationships. Lower…

Some people lose weight very proportionally, and end up looking like a smaller version of themselves. If you lose weight like this, it really won't be very obvious if you weren't that heavy starting off. Are you already at a healthy weight? Weight training might help if you are looking to change your shape.

Men's clothing is not immune to this. Last pants I bought for my husband were 2 inches larger (measuring around the waistband) than the label stated.

Steaming, boiling, cooking in the microwave, and crockpot would all give softer textures. Experiment to see how long it takes to get to your desired texture before falling to mush (assuming you don't want it THAT soft).

Bacon fat is my favorite. I also use butter, coconut oil, olive oil, and most recently avocado oil. I don't mind if the veggies dry out a bit, so I use a small amount that doesn't make a huge difference in the taste.
