I had Nexplanon for 2 years and got it removed about a year and a half ago. I found that while I could still lose weight on Nexplanon, it was much more difficult and I would plateau more frequently and longer than without it. I also retained more water weight on average with Nexplanon. I definitely gained weight while on…

Forced myself to make it through a gym day even when I really didn't want to go, and beat my leg press record in the process! (120 pounds, woo!)

Honestly, my argument wasn't super thought out because I was more frustrated with my own lack of ability with jogging/running, and I had dealt with a bunch of people teasing me about it at my college gym.
-
My unpopular opinion is that jogging is awful, running is even worse, but sprinting is fun. Running is exhausting and not actually that fast and there's better methods of cardio to lose weight. At least with sprinting you're going really fast and being slightly exhausted at the end is kind of the point. Try to look up a…

I'm new to lifting (about a month or so), still use machines tbh. Feel free to add me!

Thursday because I couldn't figure out a mathematical proof. Least favorite TV show?
-
J-Pop, the more generic the better.
-
I did my first machine overhead presses today. Beforehand I couldn't even lift the bars on the machine without it hurting like crazy, now I can actually do sets.

I've looked amazing ever since I started taking working out seriously, and I want to keep up that momentum.

I'm trying to go to the rock climbing gym in town twice a week for an hour each. So far I can do about 40 minutes before my arms get all shaky and feel like they're giving out. :D I want to be able to stay for an hour before school starts back up again!

There are multiple different types of infinity, and they all differ in "size". There's countable infinity, uncountable infinity, and more, and they have special symbols used to denote which infinity you're talking about.

My mini goal is getting out of the 150s. I'm right smack dab in the middle at 155 exactly.
-
I'm 5'6" and 155 currently, but a lot of that is fat and not necessarily muscle. I'm looking at 140 or so, and then I might lose another 10 if I feel like I'm not at a healthy weight.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely do a form check next time I go, I have a desk job and I'm often sitting at a desk doing work so I know proper back form is something I struggle with on a day to day basis. I actually can't change the resistance, they're permanently locked at a 10. (And @clarewho, yes they are Concept2…

I have a much healthier relationship with food and exercise now. I ended up overeating today (penne arrabiatta is a weakness of mine) and instead of freaking out and forcing myself back on a crash diet level of calories to punish myself, I shrugged it off and did a bit more time on the elliptical than I usually do.

Met in a sophomore level English class about writing technical reports. He's in information assurance and management, and I'm in computational math and statistics, so it was really the only way our paths would end up crossing (the class is required for nearly all majors). After the first class, we both had questions for…

Studying for a final.

There is no formula to solve an equation where the leading exponent is greater than or equal to 5. The formula exists for a quadratic (the whole [-b +- square root(b^2 - 4ac)]/2 thing from highschool), a cubic, and a quartic, but there is no formula for anything with a leading term 5 or greater.

I inspired a close friend of mine to make a stronger commitment to getting exercise after he noticed my progress during a crazy semester at uni. That, to me, is such a wonderful feeling, and worth way more than the fact that I dropped 5 pounds during this semester.

Mine's a little silly. It's a fictional character based on a real life author named Dazai Osamu. In the show he's from, Dazai focuses a lot on his struggles with his own self perception, and usually puts on some sort of mask when dealing with people. He doesn't really know how to handle his own emotions, and after a bunch…

My friends are picking me up way more often now. ...when you're the shortest girl out of a bunch of really tall guys, getting picked up is kind of an in-joke. :P
-
Bit of a weird victory, but my neck looks fantastic now, and I'm getting more definition in my shoulders! And now I look really good in those ribbon chokers that are in style now.
-
My NSV is that, when a girl made a comment about how much I ate, instead of feeling like crap and emotionally eating more, I went to the gym and did a full 25 minute workout on the elliptical. So what if I eat more? It's because I wanna get strong B)

Math and Stats double major, actually ;) The responses are usually "UGH, I haaaaate math" or "What do you even do with that? Become a teacher or something?"
-
I confess that I'm annoyed every single time people ask me about my major because I can predict their responses within a 95% confidence interval.

I am 2 pounds away from a normal BMI!

A coffee cup and a doughnut contain the same information mathematically.

My workout music is really strange and eclectic. Stuff like >200 bpm techno, stuff sung offkey on purpose, and hymns. Also there's some Sia thrown in there because her music is great.

I love it when a guy is super passionate about something and talks about it. Guys' voices are so great to listen to, especially when they're talking about something they adore. Also, I really like girls' arms. Can't explain it, just like 'em.
