  • That was the diet tweaks I made between those two pics. If you look at the first pic I clearly already have abs. That's all I did to make them more visible. And it's not like I went from eating pizza and pop tarts to suddenly salt and asparagus
  • Your protein should be high. Especially when cutting. Keep it at least a gram to body weight (150lbs =150g). However, go with chicken breast or white fish. Time your carbs around your workouts and the rest of your carbs should come from green veg
  • No, I stated small diet tweets assisted in dropping 2.5 pounds and making my abs visible. Not that salt and asparagus magically give you abs Thank you!
  • I'm not saying asparagus and salt are magical things! Clearly I have abs in both pics. That's just what I changed/used to make it go from one to the other. The reduction of carbs plus diuretic plus elimination of water = more defined/visible abs! Jeeez!
  • April 4-5 asparagus with each meal, eating 6 meals a day and a twist
  • The salt helps with preventing fluid retention and asparagus is a natural diuretic. Combining the two I find makes my abs appear more. My workout routine remained the same. But again, it's not like I just added these two things in and that was it. I already had a strict diet
  • I stated previously that I was on a strict diet for 5 months and that was simply the changes in my diet in the last two weeks between those pictures when preparing for a show, along with a minor carb decrease. By no means did I mean that Salk and green veggies give you abs lol
  • I personally do think it has benefits. But that's just my opinion
  • But thank you for belittling the hard work and strict dieting I've done for the past 5 months to get to where I am now.
  • It's unfortunate how narrow minded people can be. I'm a bikini competitor and I don't eat these things "occasionally." There was zero pump in the second picture. If anything I was flat and lacking water. Both were taken on an empty stomach. Little tweaks each week in my prep DO make a huge difference clearly because you…
  • My diet in the first picture was extremely strict. I did not simply add salt to a meal like pizza or pasta, and bam, have abs. I was eating very clean, chicken, fish, greens, and rice. By switching out certain veg and reducing carbs, I was able to see these changes
  • Well you also are unaware of what my diet was before, and my workouts. But switching my veggies and timing the salt with water consumption did assist.
  • Added Himalayan salt to my pre workout and post workout meal. Also switched all veg to zucchini and asparagus
  • 3 week difference. just a few small diet changes can really change your body composition
  • The way I looked at it was if I'm eating healthy, but the scale isn't moving, then something else must be happening. Take weekly pictures. That's another thing I did to track progress and that made a huge difference
  • I eat 6 meals a day. Each have some protein source (egg whites, chicken, white fish) with veggies. I include carbs (basmati rice, oatmeal, potato) in the meals before and after my workout
  • I'm 5'4 and started at 128lbs. Which isn't an unhealthy weight by any means, but I felt uncomfortable. I am also a bikini competitor, so I'm used to doing strict diets for a period of time up to a show. However, this time I wanted to just lose weight and be comfortable. I had, and continue to have, 2 coaches that developed…
  • I did fasted cardio in the mornings (stairs, incline walk, spin bike) before work around 5am. After work, I would lift weights for about an hour, depending on how busy the gym was and what body part I was doing. I did legs twice a week, shoulders, back, chest, and arms, all on separate days. The MAIN FACTOR in all this =…
  • I did fasted cardio in the mornings before work, and heavy lifting after work, with each day focusing on different body parts
  • It wasn't easy. I had a strict diet and daily workouts with cardio sessions. The first two months I only lost 1 pound. Very easy to give up, but you have to trust the process and progress will come!!
