Probably, but then I would have been woo'd into oblivion for mine! :) I personally think calorie counting can go too far sometimes. It's silly to advise someone to weigh their banana at home, bring it to work and eat it, and then bring the banana peel back home to weigh it. Weighing the banana and just making a reasonable…

I usually go to Publix, which is great. My only complaint is that I can never find fresh spinach there, at least at the stores in my area of FL (only pre-washed bags or containers). I also frequent Whole Foods, especially for meats and prepared foods. There is also an Asian foods grocery store in my area, which has really…

I like water flavored with lemon slices or cucumber. I enjoy the zero calorie Kool Aid flavoring also.

Thank you! I was just hiding in the corner over here for being the moron who thought this thread was entertaining and bumped it. :( :D

Same. 'Twas a sad day indeed when I realized Starbucks blueberry scones are 460 calories!!

I like Kame rice crackers. About 110 calories for 16 crackers and satisfies my salty cravings without a ton of sodium.

Zombie thread, but the general topic came up in another thread and I wanted to see if it had been discussed before. I can't believe so many people really judge others' groceries! Seems mean-spirited.

This is a purrfectly wonderful thread!

You look great!!

I'm 5'10 and 138-140 lbs. Maintain on about 1650/day.

Probably some Bigelow intern upset to hear that some people reuse the same teabag... :D

I daily go through 5 or 6 teabags (black and green) and have been for years. No kidney problems yet!

The Panera Poppyseed is my favorite as well! I buy it at Publix.

I normally brush my teeth and floss shortly after dinner. Curbs any impulse to snack, because having to floss my teeth again is way too much hassle.

I get a severe dizzy spell every time I play tennis on a weekend morning. I am still not sure why. I normally skip breakfast, but might try eating something on tennis days.

I hate the fact that it's expected at my workplace to go out to a restaurant every day for lunch with the team and I have to "guesstimate" the calories since the local restaurants don't post counts.

Lol! :) P.S. What a beautiful Siamese cat!

After dinner, I will floss / brush my teeth. That keeps me from snacking because it would be a nuisance to have to floss again before bed.

I like Gabriella's Kitchen skinnypasta kale pesto linguine. Very filling. 290 calories, 25g carbs, 7g fiber, 19g protein.

You should check in with a doctor to make sure nothing else is going on. You might also consider checking out Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. Her “Yoga for Sciatica” routine helped mine immensely (I do it about three times a week).

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I've now donated all my pants that were a size too big so I can immediately check myself if my current size starts feeling tight (in the past, I've had a tendency to just reach for the larger size). :) I saw this cool quote: “We cross our bridges as we come to them and burn them…

Cauliflower rice is filling and low in calories (approx 90 calories for an entire Birds Eye steam in bag). With one tablespoon of soy sauce at 10 cals, it’s been a good option for me to bulk up a meal as a side.

Someone on this community (can't remember who) said that this process is not a competition with yourself, it's a commitment to yourself. I found this super helpful and have kind of adopted it as a mantra to change my way of thinking (it's helped me with unhealthy behaviors like trying to "beat" the previous day's calorie…

Thanks everyone! It's interesting to hear what other people consider staples. As someone who rarely cooks, this is super helpful. I'm not a picky eater and don't have strong opinions about what kind of foods to buy yet. I'm excited to be able to start cooking meals for myself instead of relying on Panera or the Whole Foods…

Panera Bread's Poppyseed dressing is available in the refrigerated section of many grocery stores and is only 25 calories per 2 tbsp! It's amazing.

Week 1 Day 1 of C25K today! It wasn't easy for me, but super happy I made it through!
