Way to go!!!

Know that your head is a lying liar pants, just like your scale! :D It's like the line in that song that says "One is one too many. One more is never enough."

Awwwww, I LOVE your Trees of Christmas Awesomeness! Maybe I can earn some, too?

CW: 183.1 - getting there! No sweets! - yup! I drooled over the display of Holiday Mint M&M's at the drug store, but did not buy any. Work out at least 3 times a week. - nope :( Only got in one workout this week. This is the busiest time of year for me at work, so getting in a workout is difficult. The good news is that I…

The poor, misguided souls. :D I wonder what their A1C looks like? My son and daughter-in-law are vegan, and I respect their viewpoints on the ethical and environmental reasons for not consuming animal products. I was vegetarian for several months, then went full vegan last December when they moved in with me. By June my…

As Sunny_Bunny_ said, those calculators will help you determine a starting point. From there, it's a matter of trial and error to figure out what works best for you. Age, gender, weight, and health issues will all affect how your body responds to LCHF. Make sure you read through the Launch Pad - there's a wealth of…

This group is a safe haven for those of us battered by the stormy seas, searching for weight loss and good health. We may not all be on the same course, but the encouragement and insight offered is top notch.

If you watch the newest Phinney video that @RalfLott posted in a couple threads, he addresses how keto affects BP right near the beginning (first 10 minutes or so).

Poor thing, she looks exhausted! Hooray for you, being able to save the two pups, too. Quite an eventful night/morning for the family. And don't worry about not "walking the walk" 24/7/365. We're all here for mutual support, no matter which WOE we choose.

This sounds amazing, but I'm afraid to make it! I saw another version called "Pig Candy" where they mixed a little cayenne pepper in with the brown sugar to give it a bit of a kick.

Since it doesn't show the nutritional information, it's hard to guess what impact it would have. Maybe you could try using it for a few weeks, then stopping for a few weeks and see if you notice a difference in how you feel or your weight loss.

I've lost 20 pounds in six and a half months. Not the quick pace of some keto folks, but I'll take it. Especially with all the health benefits I've gained, such as increased energy, normal blood sugars, improved cholesterol numbers, and looking better in my jeans. ;)

Combining all the inches together can be very encouraging for some - kind of a summary of all the losses. It's an affirmation of the progress made. Personally, I look at each body part separately, i.e. "I lost two inches from my waist, two inches from my hips, etc."
-
That really sounds like a lot of protein. Is there a reason you need to have that much?
-
Alas, mine did not get crisp. They were sturdier than just making the pizza crust, and could easily be dipped, but not crisp. I'm thinking I should roll them a bit thinner next time?

I'm hoping I can get a scale sometime in the near future, but right now I have no place to put it. I have about a square foot of counter space in which to do all my food prep. :( My main reason for wanting one is that so many recipes I see give measurements in grams. I can estimate pretty accurately using teaspoons,…

SW: 186 GW: 182 CW: 184.4 No sweets! - check Work out at least 3 times a week. - nope, only managed twice last week. But I did work out today, so this week is off to a good start.

I was wearing size 18W jeans when I started LCHF back in June. I went shopping yesterday and discovered I am now a size 14!

Another tequila fan here. I used to drink the 1800 brand coconut tequila, but it has too much sugar to fit into my current WOE. :'( So now if I am drinking tequila I just have it on the rocks with a splash of lime.

@moonlights I admire that you can take a two week break and get right back on plan. I've only been doing LCHF about 7 months, so this is my first holiday season trying to stay low-carb. I threw caution to the wind on Thanksgiving Day and the day after (lots of stuffing and pie), and felt like something the cat dragged in…

LOL - they vilify the parts that are extremely healthy. I'm sure they extol the virtues of the beans in it, too, regardless of the carb count.

The holidays are a tough time, especially when you have family traditions that revolve around food. Do your best, and get right back on track as quickly as possible if you slip up. I'm counting on y'all to give me this same pep talk when I fall off the wagon, too, 'cause I know it's gonna happen! ;)

My son used to be a barista at a local place, and he would make me the most wonderful cherry mocha. They used real pieces of dark chocolate (or milk, or white - your choice), and my son would put about 1/3 the normal amount of cherry syrup in it, since he knows I don't like my coffee too sweet. It was the most yummy winter…

Yes, exotic furniture, trinkets, dishes, kitchen gadgets, soaps & lotions, stationery, beer, wine, tea. . . One of my favorite places to spend an afternoon!

Welcome to the group, @jennahonorable1! You don't say what your height and weight are, but my first thought is that you may not be getting enough calories if you're hungry often. How did you determine your calorie goals? Hopefully, the smarter people in this group will be able to answer your questions.

Kudos to the BMJ for standing by her and refusing to retract!

I love myself enough to stand up for myself when someone wants to treat me badly.

Welcome home. Let us know how we can help you on your journey.
