Nuts, nut butters, sugar-free catsup.

@pamwohio: Thanks, went online and Healthy Life is not sold in my part of the country but I can purchase it online. I'll check out Aldi next time I pass it.

@RowdysLady " I am always doing something and Rowdy will tell you I think way too much." Exactly what my hubs says about me!! I think your mention of reconnecting with old friends or finding new ones is spot on. It keeps us interested in others and out of our own heads.

@PamWOhio Your mentioning food doesn't upset me at all. How could it? I shop every week in a large supermarket, everything there calls at me, I just choose not to listen. Where do you buy your low carb bread? online or in a store? I think whatever works for you personally is the way to go. That being said, your diet should…

@RowdysLady There is not a person (probably more women) on the forum who has not done exactly what you just described at some point in their journey. I sometimes feel sorry for myself because I can't eat (insert any carb here) and, yes, I take just a taste, again and again......justifying that everyone else eats it (of…

Throw the darn Twix out!! Get back on course, and be extra careful with carbs the next few days. Easy to suggest, right? We all goof up from time to time, forgive yourself now that you've told us about it! Onward!!

Thanks for posting the above. I enjoyed Dr. Diamond and his talk re saturated fat and the American diet.

Working on two key issues: emotional eating (happy, sad, bored, you name it) and also portion control (which for me is the same as "eating to satiety") Some days are better than others but so long as the trend is downward (like my weight) I'm ok. Just doing the best I can.

Fabulous! :D

I agree with the above, invest in a few good pieces since you are so close to goal. Use consignment shops for "around the house" and weekend duds! Congratulations on such an awesome journey.

Ditto all above from Sunny Bunny. I understand where you are coming from as I am close to my goal (almost 5 pounds away) and it is excrutiatingly slow trying to get there. We are all our own experiments and you might try changing only one "element" of your current plan, i.e. lower carbs, less artificial sweetners,…

Great stuff!!

I used to drink several Coke zeros a day. I decided to give them up two years ago and have never looked back. Had to do it in stages: first substitute Crystal Lite for the soda; then subsitute lemon water for the Crystal Lite; then just plain ole water. I could never go from soda to plain water--too difficult. Now how…

I also upped my carb count temporarily to fight some cravings. It really worked!! Now I am back to getting them at the 20ish level. Slowly, I'll reach it again. Hope you experience the same reduction in carbs. :)

I also eat peanut butter. Just watch your portion size and I buy the same brand as above. Comes both chunky and smooth.
-
@FIT_Goat Hang in there. Went through something similar years back. I know first hand how stressfuly it can be. One by one, things will turn around.

Fabulous pics. The change since Keto is inspiring! Keep it up!

Under those circumstances anyone would binge. Heck, it sometimes takes a whole lot less to set me off. Be kind to yourself and know that we are sending good thoughts your way. <3

@silverfiend Can we just all come to your house for breakfast?? ;)

I have that same inability!! I either abstain or I have a very, very small bowl that I put the nuts in and say to myself, "that's it!" I like to use them as the dessert I miss having.

Big change! Congrats!

Hard to say how long I've been on this woe since there were a few detours along the way but I can talk about the following changes: 1. Have lost 13lbs. 2. Am more faithful to my exercise program 3. Have upped my carb intake from under 20 to under 50 and feel soooooo much better 4. Still friends with my gym partner who is a…

Ok, ...I am so glad to have these discussion threads to read. Sitting, waiting for the hurricane to hit SC is no fun. Live 2 hours from coast, so all should be okay, but my house is surrounded by huge pine trees, the kind that love to topple over in the wind :# Keeping positive!!

@Sajyana : Welcome back to the group!

Thanks for the above posting! Will be an interesting read, I'm sure.

Ditto on the thanks for the reviews. I have purchased one of your "likes" to give it a try. I do notice that I have to keep an eye on the calorie content as well.
-
@klaak: My suggestion: olive oil on a small salad.

I vote for ICE, ICE :)

Welcome back, love your graphics even if I forget to post that!
