Sounds yum! I'll have to check it out. I've been drinking Powerade zero sometimes, but try not to have too much bc it probably has more sucralose than I'd like.

NSV today, I have a scrub jacket I wear for getting called in to work (I'm an MRI tech). I haven't gotten called in since before I started this journey. It's always been a bit snug, but it's a stretchy material so it has worked for me. Today, I get called in and when I start to put it an and I stop and am like, wait, how…

Weighed myself this morning and hit 25lb lost! SW 329 CW 303.7 GW <200 Guys, I'm less than 4lb away from being under 300. I'm so excited and it's got me super motivated!

Sending requests! Anybody feel free to add me. I log everything bc it's working for me to really keep me on track and it's become a habit to eat something and then track it. I don't find it forces me to eat beyond my hunger, but I does sway what I eat based on my macro ratio, which to me is a good thing.

Random awesome fact- this video happened 5 minutes from my house at my local Five Guys! Their burgers are so yummy and I love getting them lettuce wrapped. I didn't know about this, though! Will be getting it soon. :-D

Every body is different and has different needs and different things that will work for them. I always tell people that the keto, under 30g of carbs works best for me. On a basic Atkins diet, I don't lose much weight. But that's me. For you, it may not work the same. So take time to figure out what works for you. If…

Anyone considering this WOE I tell them how invaluable to community has been. I've been on this a month and a half and this forum has been such a big part of keeping me at it and learning and keeping on going towards a healthier me. So Thank You!!!!!

Not that I want to encourage you to try it, but I'm not a fan of funnel cakes, yet I love fried dough. Where I get it, it's this dough made and cooked by full Italian raised ladies, and is kind of amazing. I'm keeping zero carb today to make up for it, but I don't know that I wouldn't make he same decision given the same…

Fried dough! I'm originally from an Italian neighborhood where they do the feast every year and they have a bunch of older Italian ladies cooking up fried dough and it was planned, but I ate a little more than I intended. I went zero carb for the rest of the day to prevent me from going any further off my macros!

We just need to remember to drink Lori's Salty *kitten* Water! :D

I find myself experiencing extremely non linear weight loss. At first I was scratching my head, but now it's just par for the course to lose weight, then gain a little back, then lose more weight, then gain a little back. That's never happened to me with a diet, but I know my body is healing itself. I didn't think of this…

I suddenly see a future where I'm in the ER with a burnt tongue and when the doctors ask me what the hell I did, I'd tell them "well, Doc, I was trying to keep my food log as accurate as possible..."

Trader Joe's near me has a lb for $7. I live in CT where prices tend to be high, so it may differ near you.

I also wonder if you artificially sweeten something and give it healthy, filling calories if it would have the same effect. I.e. I put a pinch of stevia in my keto pancakes with healthy fat and close to 300 calories. Does my brain acknowledge that it's been fed and move on?

I use a tbsp of the kerrygold butter and a tbsp of MCT oil I got at gnc. Coconut oil isn't my favorite and I'm still working on adjusting to the flavor. The MCT oil works perfect for me and while derived from coconut, does not taste like coconuts. And yes, I blend it hot in my little single serve blender I have. I'm…

It might be fun. Did you get a weighted rope?

Mmmm, buttered steak is an amazing thing and so yummy. But I agree, I've never been a big condiment person preferring just to use salt and sometimes burgers w/ mayo. All my friends know that I think ketchup is the devil! The smell of it even makes me gag. This has been a well used torture device against me.

Honestly, it sounds like that nurse needs to re-educate herself. Your LDL and Triglycerides both went down, and I'd bet my bottom dollar if they had done a breakdown of LDL into the two types, it would have been primarily large fluffy (good) and less of the small sticky (bad). Your HDL which is your good cholesterol went…

It takes a long time for inflammation to go down. Let your body do its job and help it along with the healthy diet. Recovery from surgery is never easy, so remind yourself that your body is healing and helping it along will make that go even faster!

Have you thought about taking a Spirulina supplement? It is supposedly like having vegetable servings without having to eat the vegetables and is supposed to be super healthy. Wikipedia has all the nutrient info listed https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirulina_(dietary_supplement) **there is powder, but I personally take…

@blacktie347 the idea of eating a higher fat diet has more to do with promoting healing of the organs. If you keep out the stuff that heals and keep giving the stuff that harms, it isn't going to improve their situation. The body won't be getting the nutrients needed to heal itself from the damage done to the organs from…

I didn't even know magnesium could do that. The one I take is a mix of different forms of magnesium. Once it's done I was planning to buy just a magnesium bicarbonate powder. Maybe I should do that sooner. I've thought of that, and I do have allergies, but it doesn't necessarily seem to correlate to when they're bothering…

Like a pizza dough bowl or like a pizza toppings casserole like the one I made a few weeks back and posted on here?

Having lost a cousin (technically a second cousin, but one we saw as often as our first cousins) in part to anorexia, I agree with @blacktie347 on being an ear, but only partly on not giving some advice. The "experts" are told to eat a lot of insulin inducing high carb stuff. One of the things anorexia does is it damages…

Thanks! Also, I just realized, I still wear that shirt on the left bc it's one of my favorites, but it hangs a lot more loosely, now.

The picture on the left is my first week of low carb, and the one on the right is today. I've been 5 weeks and I see a big difference in how my clothing fits and how I feel in general. Never going back!

I've noticed I get fuller a lot faster when I'm eating. Also, that natural pause that you get when you stop eating for a little while truly marks the end of my eating, now. I've lost the desire to pick up my fork and finish my food. I just wrap it up for leftovers. I also find myself not eating breakfast til 10:30/11 and…

6/1/16 SW 329 CW 308.2 I hit 20lb!!! Was so excited. Hope to get below 300 by the end of the month, but it's ok if it doesn't happen. My clothes fit better, people are commenting I've lost weight, I'm happy and committed.
-
I not only plateaued, I gained without cheating. I have over 100lbs to lose, so like you, I was scratching my head. Give your body time, though. My weight dropped again suddenly. This has cycled twice for me in the 5 weeks I've been Keto. Remember, it's not just burning fat. It's healing and sometimes your body needs to…

As a side thought, you could try some maple extract for that flavor. It has more carbs than the vanilla, but not as much as honey or maple syrup.
