Totally unscientific response here and I only read a few of the other posts and I didn't look at your diary. Caveats aside, I'm a 5'4" female and unlike a lot of people, I know if I stick with 2,000 calories EVERY DAY (like if that is my average in a week), I will lose 2-3 lbs. I never stick to that, I always go over (on…

I can relate, amwoods72. I started at 204 but to be honest, very few of the clothes in my closet really fit me. They were mostly too small so it was a psychological game - success #1 was having the clothes in my closet fit (which I was pretending fit anyway!). I'm similar to you 5'4".

Sounds like you are doing all the right things! I started really noticing the clothes at 10lbs lost. And I've been doing HIIT workouts - which has made a HUGE difference, I think, in terms of inches. Definitely take your measurements so at least you'll be able to see that result too (in addition to the scale!). It can be…

I am not sure if they have it in your area but I started doing Fit4Mom's Body Back program here in Raleigh in April and I've lost 21 lbs and 11+ inches... most of the women in the class seemed to be more like you - I mean, started out looking pretty good already with some baby weight to lose and toning needed. But it's…

Fantastic! Way to go! That is so awesome. I have found the alcohol to be an especially hard habit to break. I really love the daily glass (or two) of chardonnay. When I don't drink during the week, I do so much better - hate to admit that to myself. I was coming on here to "brag" about my recent success... 21lbs and 11+…

I don't belong on this board since I'm not in maintenance but I am 183-ish today at 5'4" and my size 16 pants are getting really huge. But to be in 14, I need to be 180 or under (at least before I had 3 kids that was the case). I've never been super-lean but even when I was 143 or so, I was in a size 10 pants. My waist…

I would be happy to share my diary if you want to be friends! I'm not the picture of great eating and weight loss but have been able to lose 20+lbs since April eating a lot of what I want. I have made a lot of changes in my diet like I stopped eating ice cream or sweets every night - that was huge for me (not saying that's…
