  • The back flab is disheartening - but, it gets less with the weightloss. Be aware, though... it will get worse before it gets better... as you lose the weight, everything gets loose and squishy for a while - then it starts to shrink and tighten - but not before it's squelching out all over the place. Trust me, it will all…
  • I think they should just rename it "AS IF!" so people know what it means. :]
  • The best comment I ever got was from a co-worker - not one that I really was particularly friendly with - but he pulled me aside and said that people were noticing my efforts and I was doing great.
  • Well, the whole point of having surgery is to make sure that you can't eat the way you did before... If that doesn't work for you - you might want to reconsider. I did the lap band back in 2006 and it was truly one of the best decisions of my life - but, that was me. I have to eat more slowly - of course - and I eat a lot…
  • It is... even if you don't know the inches - how many sizes have you lost? Can you make a guestimate based on that? Me, I would cancel the order and wait for two more months - then you could see whether there has been any significant change over two months and "x" pounds - and then make a good estimate of what will happen…
  • In a sense, she has outgrown it... "Fat Ugly Sister" a joke between us, now. And I know what I will see when I arrive. She outweighs me at my highest - she says she is "under 400, now" which means that at some point she was over it. I have tried to motivate her - thinking that, if nothing else, our life-long competition…
  • Alas, you never get to be 20, again. Bummer - but, I am thinking thinner is better... even with wrinkles. 54 years old - 5 ft 4 inches. Intermittent fasting; 1600 calories a day; Daily Cardio and strength training 2-3 times a week.
  • I have a seriously catty one - but, what can I say? I have a Sister - who is 2 years younger than I am and who was always the "cute/fit" sister in high school. Upon finding out that I was going to the prom, when she had to stay home due to chicken pox - she wailed out, in utter anguish - "My Fat Ugly Sister has a date for…
  • Yes, and be patient... given time, SOME of the increase in wrinkle action goes away... I had a neck wattle form after the first 25 pounds came off... I feared, greatly, that I would have a wattle down to my belly button before it was all said and done - but, thank Heaven, the wattle has stayed fairly consistent - although…
  • Aw, Thanks, Guys. At 912 days of learning - there is a lot more - but, I will let you read as you will in my Blog https://myfitnesspal.com/blog/IremiaRe For now, I will leave you with an updated photo - as of yesterday.
  • ah, the BMI over 60 - I was very glad to leave that behind... It get's more exciting as you drop from Morbidly to merely Obese and then... Overweight. Gratz!! And keep up the great work!
  • I haven't had a fill in years - but - try to wolf down the food like you used to do and find out just how much restriction you really have... lol. The only time I am really tight is during TOM. Glad you have no complications - and I hope you can keep up the great work! Alas, it IS still work - as it is possible to eat…
  • I finally broke into the merely "overweight" category... now I want to drop below 170. (So weird, my fingers still want to put a 2 in front of that - and it's been over a year since I hit Onderland.) 3 pounds to go.
  • Worked hard today - Strength training, Cardio, yardwork... had a gazillion calories more than normal, today.... didn't eat them all. Could have eaten more chocolate... but didn't. Didn't really feel like I needed it enough to make my screaming glutes stand up and walk to the kitchen, again. lol.
  • ^^THIS! lol. Wrote a blog about it.https://myfitnesspal.com/blog/IremiaRe
  • Pictures don't lie... you are looking great! Keep up the hard work!
  • Don't be discouraged if the quickly part slows down... whether you lose if fast or slow - you are still losing it... and eventually, you will get where you want to be. Trust the process, even if the scale starts to be crazy. Hard work will pay off in the end. Hugs and luck!
  • Happy Screaming is allowed... Gratz!
  • Slipped my jeans down over my hips without unzipping, today... Think it's time for some smaller ones...
  • Pushing 4 years and 85 lbs
  • Pip! Is it time for the ride, again? Please send me the link, also. Hugs! Re in TX
  • Hello, Ladies! Re: Facebook... Never had it, Never will. Just don't see the need to let everybody know that I am darning socks, or watching TV... I don't think folks need to know every little detail of my life - and frankly - until recently, the idea of posting pictures of myself was horrifying. So, no - no Facebook for…
  • Happy Sunday, Ladies! I spent so much time catching up, I don't have much left to write. Kabob for dinner - lovely veg and some chicken and beef. On the grill, of course. I have some yardwork to do... and I may have another tomato and a watermelon to harvest. I think the Princess is finally going to depart - after nearly a…
  • Happy Independence Day! (for my US Sisters) I grabbed a bunch of 2 gallon drippers so I can adjust the watering system to try and keep the few remaining squash alive. I have enjoyed the watermelon so much, that I picked up a couple of Honeydew vines... LOVE honeydew. Today is all about getting the garden updated and…
  • You get to a certain point, and it stops being about the number on the scale. I figure I still have 30 pounds to go - 5'4" - 53 yrs old - 175 lbs - but, I am not chained to a number. For me, it's going to be about clothing size, and strength and muscle balance. I want to wear a size 6 and be able to lift more than my body…
  • Aw, Phoenix is FABULOUS! The girls, too. Playing hooky, today.... of to do things I never get to do... like walk thru the mall. Hugs! Re in TX
  • *waves* Hey Y'All... Goals for July= 1) find new trainer 2) 50 pound chest press 3) lose 2 lbs. (net - after the Puffy Princess and her retinue depart) That's enough... and if I have to, I can work on the chest press, alone. Although it's so much easier with a trainer to push me to go harder and farther than I think I can.…
