Hello, Gorgeous Girls! Hey there from Texas... I am still breathing over here... still doing my thing - and I miss you guys. I keep up with some of you on the newsfeed - but,, alas, I miss a lot there. So, while I have a spare moment to breathe, I thought I would drop in. This year, we are gardening - I had half of the…

@HDBKLM Thank you!! I figure if I make myself laugh and feel like the heroine in my own story, I can slay anything in my path!! The dark wood of unknown approaches where I am sure even bigger dragonpants lie, but today I frolic on my birthday! Congrats to all the NSVs today!! [/quote] Frolic away! Happy…

Thanks, Guys. I haven't lost a whole lot of weight, in the last little while - I am down to 175, now - but, I am doing some strength training so my shape is changing in a lot of nice ways. Miss you guys, too, Carol - say hey to the girls. I just barely have time to sleep these days. Hugs! Re

1) Decide to do it. Really decide. Know why you are doing it - that can help. For me, it was the fact that I expect to live into my 90's (based on family history) and I thought it might be nice if I could, you know... walk. 2) Make one small change that you can maintain for the rest of your life. Exercise, reduce your…

Folks - The Gastric Band - that's the subject here. I can claim success from having one, although in a round about way. I had the band put in back in the day - about 12 years ago. I weighed 367 at my top weight and the docs made me drop some weight before surgery - so thru liquid diet and low carb, I was 331 on the day of…

Those will go away over time, I think... my neck wattle did - thank heaven.

Some people read "Woo" as like Whoo Hoo! I know, I did, at first.

So... yeah. The day before my vacation, I was there... I had the number - I even show it on my ticker, right now... but, 9 days of not logging, drinking my calories and eating any old thing I wanted had a somewhat less than satisfactory effect on the scale. So... same goal, different day... lol. Two pounds to get back to…

Granny Got Game! First Dead Lift Goal, achieved! 4 reps at 135. (8 reps at 125) Not bad for a 53 year old less fat chick!
-
Great Work! The logging really does make all the difference... if nothing else, it gives me a feeling of being in control. Knowledge is power - and knowing that this food has surprisingly high calories, vs that food which has much less than I thought? It makes the losing so much easier. Gratz and hugs!

Oh, so much this. I find myself getting impatient to be past that last inch of flab covering everything... But, then, I remember what 367 pounds felt like and I give myself a little mental slap. This, too, shall pass... just have to keep working on it. Hugs!

I know, right? Who would ever have thought our GOAL would be to be "Overweight?" But, me too. 2 lbs to go!

I do both - count calories and do IF, I mean. No Keto for me. I decided when I started on this go around that I wasn't going to do anything that I couldn't KEEP doing for the rest of my life - because, hey - you know what happens when you stop doing the thing that works, right? Whether any of the claims are accurate…

I hear that - but - there is hope. I got some swim leggings and a swim-shirt.... I wear those. Google swim leggings... Good Luck!

If it's any help, at all... I had a pretty impressive neck wattle when I first lost the weight off my face... two years later, it's shrunk down to a "normal" size neck wattle for a 53 year old chick. My wrinkles have lightened up, too. Just keep on doing what you are doing for your health, and ignore the unsolicited…

Knee Sweat. It's a thing.

Aw, Thanks, Ann
-
Man... my nose got bigger... lol.

-
Go Jim! You have done amazing work!
-
Thanks, All. I am happy to report that the scale is reflecting the same "half" status, today - and I am working with a personal trainer, these days, to strengthen my body. MFP works!
-
I second the Elliptical! Its the same motion as running without the pounding on your knees. Great work!! And great boy you are raising, there... So much more to life than just body size.... Health, Fitness, Family... go for it. You can have it all!
-
Oh, Honey... My Grandmother was exactly the same... she thought she could pay me to be thinner, to not bite my nails, whatever. *sigh* I would just surprise her and demand your pay-day. Go for it! Hugs!

Walmart discount racks... they have the occasional dress pant - sometimes for as little as $5.00. It doesn't have to last forever - since you will shrink out of it, soon, anyway. Good Luck.
-
Push ups... on the floor! No more bench push ups for me... Strength training is paying off. Next Hurdle - Pull ups! (not assisted)
-
^^ so this. I have spent the funds I used to spend on Fast Food buying $5.00 sweaters and pants at Walmart off the discount racks. I never run out of clothes that fit. I did have a reward idea for when I hit half my highest weight - (did that in October) - I was going to get permanent cosmetics - tattooed eyeliner - but, I…

Spanx are our friends... lol REALLY hope the Shar Pei effect goes away, over time... *sigh*

Weigh food. Log food. Exercise (cardio and strength training). Repeat.

It's official... I am medication free.... Cholesterol is controlled by diet and exercise! Whoot! And, it's wuss-city - but I was able to do ten bench pushups... baby biceps to the rescue...
