You need to lift. Skinny fat doesn't go away by losing more fat. It is also extremely difficult for women to build muscle. You are not going to look masculine without extreme effort, time, and possibly steroids. So don't be afraid of weights.

I fast 20:4 most days. I love it! There are reports out there of some women having hormonal issues, but I think its more correlated with inadequate nutrient/calorie intake than the fasting itself. Or some people get in to the habit of multi day long zero calorie fasting which is my opinion is not what intermittent fasting…

I fast 20:4 daily. I break my fast with whatever I feel like that day that fits my macros. Sometimes that's a big salad and sometimes that pizza and beer. Zero issues with either.

I'm in a IF FB group with 20000+ people. Most of those who lift heavy do so with no BCAA's or protein before/after working out. They are gaining muscle on their bulk cycles just fine or gaining strength if they're cutting. I never eat protein before or after my workout and I'm gaining strength while in a deficit with no…

I fast 20:4 and totally support it but IF is just a tool that helps some people who enjoy larger meals to better adhere to their calorie goals by limiting their feeding window. IF does zero extra for weight loss. It has zero scientifically proven additional health benefits. Most of the health benefits that get promoted by…

Fung is a quack. The guy says calories don't even matter. He joined our FB IF group and when asked to provide proof for his claims he admitted he couldn't and left the group. The guy is just trying to make a quick buck. Insulin does not make you fat. Excess calories make you fat. Your body is always in a fat burning mode…

Sorry but forks over knives is junk. Millions of people follow a low carb high fat lifestyle with moderate protein and lose weight easily. I eat an average of 100gm of animal protein a day and I'm down 60lbs in 6 months. It's all about a calorie deficit.

Actually I am allergic to blueberries. I break out in hives. I am deathly allergic to bananas. Plenty of people are allergic to fruits.

IF is just a tool that some people use to better adhere to calorie goals because they enjoy larger meals. It has not advantage over any other way of eating where the calorie intake is the same. There are no valid, peer reviewed scientific studies that prove there are any additional benefits to intermittent fasting. That…

If you use facebook, there are several very active groups for 5:2 and ADF.

Thanks again! I've been doing ADF for about 6 months. But I am dating a guy who is a total foodie so my 500 calorie or less days were getting harder and harder to hit consistently if he spontaneously wants to go out. With OMAD, I have a little more flexibility. I can plan to eat super healthy for dinner each night, but if…

It's been much better the last few days. I guess I just needed to adjust to one meal. Thanks again for all your help!

No I've been tested for celiac. My wheat allergy started out as just environmental when I was younger (harvesting/pollinating season was the worst). But if I eat too much of it, I get the same symptoms of congestion/sinus issues now that I'm older. I will give it another week since the only change has been moving to OMAD.…

I'm 35 and I'm allergic to bananas and wheat. I don't get leg cramps. I haven't checked my sugar in a while but its never been a problem. I will get it checked if the symptoms persist. I drink an obscene amount of water because I take allergy meds regularly and they can be dehydrating. I migrated to OMAD from ADF and I was…

Avocado, onion powder, garlic salt, touch of lime.

Diet soda will work. The caffeine really helps. I like green tea or mint tea iced as well. You will find it gets much easier after about a week. I do Alternate Day Fasting, so I eat 500 every other day and maintenance every other day. But if I am on vacation I do 16:8.

I live in Orlando and the parks regularly. Disney is definitely pooh-sized friendly. The only ride that can be a little cramped is the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. If you plan on going to any of the other parks like Universal or Sea World, it will be a little more restrictive as the majority of their rides are thrill…

Tuna has a lot of protein and is low calorie.

I cycle in and out of ketosis now. I prefer a more primal/paleo level of carbs with sweet potatoes, fruit, rice (not all same day). I find that as long as I still keep my carbs under 150gm ( I average 75-100 most days) I don't tend to put on more than a couple of pounds. If I go carb crazy, I just drop back to ketogenic…

I do 16:8 sometimes 20:4. 10 ounces of chicken alone is 60 gm of protein. It's really not too hard to hit what you need.

Eliminating gluten cleared my eczema up. I had to do it for other allergy reasons that called for an elimination diet. Major bonus. Not going back lol

I try to avoid soda because I used to drink it all the time. Now that I'm 99.9% water (gotta leave room for beer), I rarely touch it. I do like black coffee for caffeine and sometimes I just take a caffeine pill to get me through a rough day. That being said, there's nothing wrong with diet soda.
-
I don't think it would be a problem at all. I do Alternate Day Fasting and eat 2000-2400 on my up days and zero -500 on my low days with zero issues!
-
Ask them who their food vendor is. My work cafeteria does everythign through Eurest so when I do have to grab a meal there, I use the database here to make a somewhat educated guess on my intake.

I am in a facebook group of over 20, 000 people who intermittent fast. The overwhelming consensus from their experience is that IF windows have zero to with the actual fat/weight you drop. It is only a tool for easier caloric deficit management. I will take the experience of 20, 000 any day. You are eating in a deficit if…

10 ounces of chicken breast is about 350 calories and 50 gm of protein. Definitely doable
-
You can do it however you feel is best and still see the same results. I do ADF which is 500 every other day. For me, I find it better to wait till dinner and have a bigger meal because once I start eating, its hard for me to stop. But there are plenty who spread there's out and succeed.
-
I do ADF which is pretty much EODD. I workout 5 days a week (3 strength training/5 running) with no issues at all. Sometimes I do not eat on my down days. It just depends on how I feel in the evening when I would usually break my fast. Its actually a super easy rhythm to get into once you get through the first week or so.…

Coconut is not that hard to avoid. There are plenty of foods you can eat. Just weigh your foods and stay within in your deficit.

90% of the people (over 12000 in the group) in the Intermittent Fasting Group I follow are in excellent shape. Three of the admins even compete in bodybuilding competition. They all believe in CICO and only allow things to be posted in their group if there is peer reviewed scientific research to back it up.
