. You just have to start with doing it. You're going to feel full all of the time and yeah, that's not necessarily fun to feel like you're force feeding yourself. Your body does need nutrition when you work out (not just calories) so begin by incorporating nutrition dense foods. Even if you start eating lighter foods to…

You can totally start without weights or resistance at first to build muscle for later. Work on your core with planking (there are great 30 day planking challenges on Google) to get a good posture and ab workout, push-ups (again, challenges or variations to make it easier/harder are on Google), walking helps (try a brisk…

Add me to the list of people to add!! I like to look at diaries ✌️

For gaining, I'm a beef eater. Look for sales and use that freezer space for any chosen meat, though. You can get similar prices to chicken that way. If you do beans, you'll save $$ working with dried ones. $2/# instead of $1 a can. I suppose a lot of "cost" depends on how much work you're willing to put in. Eggs are…

The only way I can keep gains on is to gain it in muscle and work really slow. If I get sick and lose 10# (which happened last month) I have to be extra diligent in getting it back. I'm still not back to where I was and I'm very on top of my foods. I've found that my biggest roadblock has been getting enough proteins and…

My favorite strength exercise that I believe everyone should incorporate is the plank. Yes, it's hard to start toning your core, but it'll make your form and posture so much better as you develop those muscles. It'll only help every other workout you do. Be sure to do front plank as well as each side. There are a ton of…

If I was over a program that didn't motivate me, I would chalk it up as outgrowing it and mark it as completed. I like feeling challenged and it looks like the program isn't challenging you in the right way. Use what you know from the program to make it either more fun for you (or harder?) or to move on completely and add…

What if you did lose fat but also gained muscle? I'm not a fan of tracking weight per se. It's too variable. I recommend tracking your strength (do you keep track of workouts and improvement?) and your nutrients (not just calories-maybe consult a nutritionist). Make sure you're kicking your metabolism back into gear by…

Could you make your own? Sweet potatoes, apples, etc can be baked into a chip. Making most things at home are usually better than the bought version in nutrition and flavor. You can also control how many are available from the get go. My pampered chef person sells a microwave chip maker. I'm still yet to get my hands on it.

What are your GI needs?

Don't sit! As soon as you're home, get right to business and you're less likely to turn off motivation for the day before it's accomplished. If home reduces motivation, drive straight to a park or a gym to get something in after work before home. Have the hubs and kids meet you there if it's outdoors!!

My why is that I can't imagine my little girl not having me to turn to. Physical and mental health are so important to me.

Add me!! I'm an accountability person for my BFF on here who's also trying to be healthier (but in order to have kids someday). Im also supporting anyone who wants to better themselves because that's a powerful thing. I'm all about the little changes to the lifestyle that really make an impact on overall life. Mother of 1…

Let me just say that your progress is awesome! You've accomplished a lot for yourself. Also, great style taste!

I'm a nonfiction girl, myself. Right now I'm reading "The Omnivores Dilemma" and I can't wait to browse the bookstore for my next nonfiction piece. What's great about reading is that your interpretation will be totally different than mine or anyone else's. That's why movies aren't ever as good as the book.

Make sure you're getting enough water and enough sodium. Mine does that if I'm not on top of it. Nothing to worry about unless you feel dizzy

Theo, I think the definition of "food desert" has to be discussed not only in what you classify as food, but what you look at in terms of affordability and ability to buy even if the food exists there. Poor areas tend to have less access to transportation in the city. 75% of our poorer superb dwellers (especially the…

Hmm I wonder if there is a snack alternative that you can make at home that could cut down on those sugars and fats

Mmm that recipe looks amazing! I'll have to try more salmon. My daughter is anti-fish most days. She only eats "grandpas fish" -the ones grilled with the head and eyes intact haha

Catwoman in training here. Let's just say I have clear cosplay goals for myself :)

Recipes with simple ingredients can be sooo tasty. Using fresh or frozen veggies is a good way to get good flavor with the nutrients. I do a lot of raw veggies for my daughter because they have flavor and texture she likes. Rice is a great idea as a staple to plates (look for brown rice instead of cheap white rice) for a…

I always have a trail mix or nuts on hand. When I want something cold, I devour a bell pepper. I don't eat much in the mornings, so night time is my catch up time for a lot of different nutrition areas.

Grab some vitamin B for a quick pick up and try raising your calorie goal for a while to see if that helps.

I'm in this club!

Squats are cool, but have you tried lunges? Those do more for me than squats every time (with much less reps, even). Shallow and deep lunches each work different muscle groups. I have built muscle doing this (it's a little slow) but I have to increase reps each time or I'm just toning.

I'm gaining weight, but watching others succeed helps motivate me. I'll add you!

This is why I drink wine at night haha I have no time for lunch at work so after I eat a huge dinner and put the kiddo to bed I'm all out of tummy room for extra calories. Instead of reaching my goal of gaining 10, I gained 8, lost 2, and now I'm so over eating steak wraps for dinner.

Sounds like that particular nutritionist isn't working for you. I would look for another who takes a different approach. Being super stressed over results and keeping on top of professional advice probably isn't working for you on top of the technique not working.

Patience. It takes a lot of patience. I'm 5'4 and finally got over 100 (putting on toned muscle though because I feel bleh if it's just weight). You can get there.
