  • Keep up the great work. People say the most inconsiderate things and really most of them are all based on their perceptions and biased. I've lost 85 lbs so far but am still considered obese at 185 lbs. Obviously I have done well, but as I've just gained a few pounds back, I'm beating myself up pretty hard over it and take…

  • Easter was hard on me as well. I didn't think I was too bad, but my scale tells me other words. I really need to just get back on track and work hard.
  • I always set both. I have a long term goal that I consider my "vision" of where I would ultimately like to be. Then I sent a ton of mini goals to keep me focused. It's more rewarding if I accomplish small feats repetitively. They aren't always scale goals either. I may set a goal to get to Yoga 3 times a week for a month.…
  • Hi Jordan, Please feel free to add me. I know what it's like to feel stuck. I'm feeling a little stuck now at 185 lbs. I've lost a lot in the last year, but I'm feeling unmotivated now. I'm really trying to immerse myself here on MFP to see if that can inspire me to get back on track.
  • I'm so proud of you! I've been on a similar journey, so I can relate. In March of 2015 I took a bad fall at work and broke both my legs (one knee and one ankle). It was horrible. I already have PCOS, so it's so difficult to lose weight anyhow. The pounds piled on as I was bedridden. In March 2016, when I finally was…
  • Hi Danielle! I'm also at 185 lbs. I really want to lose at least another 30 lbs. I'd love to be your buddy. I find I need some motivation and support and perhaps some accountability. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • I would like to lose another 30 lbs by September this year. I have to be a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding next year, but want to be at my goal weight by the fall. Anyone, please add me as a friend. I'm needing some motivation right now! Thank you!
  • I'm experiencing this right now. I'm so frustrated by it. I'm "mostly" eating well. I'm "mostly" exercising well. But I'm not doing it consistently and the scale isn't showing any movement. In fact in the last month, it's creeped up a couple pounds. I'm making excuses too. It's water weight... I had too much sodium…
  • SW: 268.7 CW: 187.4 GW: 160 I just wanted to say how inspirational you all are. Way to keep working hard and sticking with it! It isn't an easy journey, but it's very rewarding if you commit long term. Hang in there through the difficult days and keep moving forward. You can all do it!

  • I've been reading a fabulous book called, 365 Days of Positive Self-Talk for Weight-Loss. The premise is that we need to re-wire our brains to instill confidence, positivity, self esteem and a new approach to life into our daily journey. It's really helped inspire me to celebrate the successes' I've had and to keep working…

  • It doesn't have to be lonely! Seeing what I've accomplished so far has inspired my friends and family. My brother and his family are all now starting to do things for their health and turning to me for advice. My husband is super proud of me and adopting new lifestyle changes himself. In fact, we go walking together and do…

  • OP - First off, congrats on such a huge accomplishment! You should be so proud of what you've done so far! I can relate on some things and perhaps share some of my own personal insights. I started off at a weight close to your own, 269 and currently just reached 200. It's rather a strange amount of weight to lose, because…
  • Congrats!!!! Yeah... how exciting! For myself: SW - 269 GW - 160 CW - 200.1 To Onederland: .2 (yes, those little points DO count) - I must admit I looked at my scale this morning and said outloud, "Really?"
  • 1. Log all food and stay on my clean eating plan 2. Get my 10,000 steps 3. Drink at least 2L of water 4. Read my positive affirmations and make someone else feel really great about themselves today
  • I drink tea or water, use my stepper, fold laundry and if all else fails and I really need a snack, I will bring an apple or pear to my chair with a pairing knife and cut it slowly while watching or I will have a little bit of air popped popcorn or Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt if I'm lazy.
  • Congrats! Nice work! I'm almost there. I'm at 201.2. I can almost taste it!
  • SW - 269 GW - 160 CW - 201.2 To Onederland: 1.3 This last few has been painfully difficult!
