Well, I'm back at it. I started my journey in January of 2016 and had an amazing year. I lost 90 lbs in the first year. Then I crashed. My dad became sick, my daughter was struggling with anxiety at school and my whole year just shifted. I gave up everything I was doing and gained 50 lbs of it back! :( My brother is…

I try to have a large cup of water or tea to see if that helps. If I really need a snack I try to have some fruit, some popcorn or some cheese. I also think it's important to DO something. If I do something, I don't want to "waste" those calories burned by eating them. If you can't leave the house, perhaps go on youtube…

okay... yesterday I did W4D2! ACK! I'm very sore today, but a good sore. Today will be a rest day to give myself a chance relax. I will just get my 10,000 steps today by walking! W4D3 looks a little scary too, but I'm gonna do it on Friday! Since my scale is NOT moving in the direction that I want it to, I'm going to focus…

I completed my second W4D1 yesterday. I think I'm ready to try W4D2. I'm a little scared, but I'm going to go for it!

Personally I like having smaller slices of bread. I don't find them "air". Usually sandwich's or bread is just too much for me, so this gives me a chance to really enjoy the filling. I like a good ole BLT with Little Big Bread. Lots of lettuce and tomato and avocado! Yum!

That's the one. At only 55 calories a slice and high fiber, it's a great option.

When I can afford it, I try something fresh and new. Maybe I will have garlic prawns with a homemade pesto. Or a great cut of steak with grilled veggies. Having more money available makes eating healthier easier and more fun. It's when I have to watch my budget that it's more challenging to eat better.

I eat Silver Hills Little Big Bread. I love it!

Today is my week 4, day 1. I'm so nervous!
-
TiffanyBeckett and Mkerekuik... I'm very new as well. Just finished week 3. Starting week 4 and like you Mkereluik, I'm terrified of how it seems to really advance quickly now. Please add me as a friend!

Hi there! I just finished Week 3. I'm feeling super proud, but terrified at the same time. This is so much more than I have ever ever done. The next few weeks seem to increase SO fast though. I'm so nervous about the upcoming runs/jogs. I don't run very fast though, so I don't know if that matters? I do a gentle jog. I…

This is one of the reasons that I've switched to intermittent fasting on 3-4 days a week. I really my evening snacks. If I save my calories for the evening, I feel more satisfied. I don't like breakfast anyhow and I'm often too busy at work to even worry about lunch, so for me, it's working really well to have my eating…

I think you have tried all you can by talking to him. I think you need to show and hopefully inspire him at this point. My husband wasn't at all interested in getting on board with me when I started this journey a year and a half ago. He flat out told me that he would not eat healthy or do the things I was doing. Once I…

I have lost over 80 lbs already. I have another 25 lbs to get to my first really large goal. After that, I will reevaluate and see where I'd like to be and what I still want to lose.

I've started intermittent fasting. I'm on day 3 of 19/5. 18 hours fasting with an eating window of approx. 6PM - 11PM. I'm surprised to find I have a lot more energy during the day. I wasn't expecting that. I get a little hungry at 10 am and a little hungry at about 4pm, but I drink a bunch of water and I'm great…

I would like to lose 15 lbs in 3 months as well. I'm in for that part! Much more attainable and still fairly aggressive. It will take work and commitment, but it's more realistic and way more healthy.

I have about 20-25 lbs that I NEED to lose for health reasons. I would LOVE to be able to lose about 40-45 lbs. I've lost over 80 lbs up to this point and the last few months have been a real struggle to lose anything. I'm down two, up one, down one, up two. I need some motivation! Anyone, feel free to add me!

I would love to try this. I think I may start tomorrow morning. A year ago at this time I could barley walk. I can jog now for about 3-4 minutes at a time (once in my 30 minute walk), so I think I'm ready to try. My only challenge is... sigh... I have very large breasts. They hurt when I jog a lot. I need to find a good…

We are almost identical in stats. I'm 181 lbs and 5'2". I've lost 88 lbs so far. I have about 21 lbs to go to hit my first goal weight before I reevaluate where I am. Feel free to add me!

I have used several different dietitians and it really depends on the individual if it will be helpful or not. Just like doctors, there are really great ones out there and ones that just do it for the paycheck and don't really care or stay up to date on information. Some of the really great ones I've used, have been able…

Keep going everyone! You are all so inspiring! Getting to Onederland was such a great feat for me and now I'm still charging towards my goal weight. SW: 268.7 CW: 182.2 GW: 160 - to be reevaluated once I get there Keep up the amazing work!

My condolences to you. And I'd like to say I'm so impressed with how well you are committing your health at this time. Often my family will eat without me, so I'm cooking for "one" often. I would say my biggest "go to" meal is: roasted vegetables, salad and grilled protein. I put all my veggies on a sheet pan in the oven,…

Stay Strong. You've made the first step and have gone to see your doctor. It sounds like you have good support there and that is vital. Last year in March, I like you hit a bit of a breaking point and went to see my doctor at 268 lbs. I was devastated, depressed, recovering from two broken legs and just feeling defeated.…

At my last company, we put two boxes in the lobby. One was a food bank box and the other was a box for "socks, coats, warm clothes, etc.". There was a sign that read, in lie of gifts of appreciation, please consider donating to the food bank or homeless shelter. Due to food restrictions and allergies, we are no longer able…

Tempting food choices will always be around but I try to do a few things to help myself avoid indulging: 1. Take a few minutes to ask myself if it's worth it. Will it be worth the guilt I will feel after I have the treat? 2. Take a moment to ask myself if it's worth how I will physically feel after. I'm finding now that if…

I have a desk job and I've managed to lose 85 lbs in the last year. I find that I really have to make an effort to log my food and track my exercise. I have a step counter watch and really notice a difference if I ensure to get my 10,000 steps a day. Sometimes it's not easy. I make sure that on my lunch, I go for a walk…

I had a very difficult time at the beginning of my journey. I was ashamed and embarrassed the size I was. I guess I figured if I didn't bring it up, it wouldn't be an issue (Did I think they couldn't SEE me?). As I started to lose weight slowly, I started sharing more and opening up to friends, family and co-workers. I was…

Everyone once in a while, I have a craving for tacos. I go to the store and buy the groceries to make myself a large taco salad. With mostly lettuce and tomatoes, adding lean ground beef, black beans, salsa, low fat sour cream, low fat shredded cheese, avocado and ONE crunched up corn shell for the texture... I can kill…

I also have a Garmin Vivoactive with optional HR monitor band (that I really don't use). I LOVE my Garmin. It's great for swimming and I don't have to worry about weather at all. I don't really use the sleep stats, as I like to have a break with it off me at night. The distance, time, maps and walk/run functions are great!

Good afternoon, I have been on Saxenda for just over a year now. I can attest to the fact that after time, the side effects do go away. I have been on the full dose for about 11 months now. I have PCOS and I was insulin resistant. I had a high BMI and I was considered a great candidate for the medication. I've been under…
