  • You guys are amazing, thankyou all! Pretty keen to learn alot.
  • How do you guys bounce back after cheating? I had a pretty loose long weekend. Nothing crazy but I need to get back into it stat. Do you fast? Drink tons of keto aide? Protein only? Whats your go to?
  • Finally cutting all my hair off into a pixie cut and not feeling like Mr Potato head!! Best thing ive ever done
  • Im sure somebody HAS told me this but in the day dream of "if i lose weight, itll fix everything!" Im sure Ive ignored it... The fact that even though ive lost over 20kg and gotten to my goal, I still pick up on flaws in photos and feel like i still look the same sometimes...
  • There's a few of us in QLD! I'm suprised
  • beautiful day today, I'm on the Sunshine Coast :)
  • How long were you on low carb before doing the test? Also I'm not sure how but my cholesterol was a bit higher a few months ago and my drs first question was do you drink alcohol? I don't drink at all, but it might be a thing?
  • Got my blood results today and my hba1c has gone up by 1 point to 7.3, normally this wouldn't be a win, but its my first test after going off insulin almost completely (still working on the overnights) I'm just on janumet now, so proud! Funniest thing was my doctor saying I was low on iron and should be eating more meat. I…
  • It is delicious! I had the birthday cake the other night. Probably won't be a regular thing, it was $11!! Im in Australia tho, so not sure what this compares to in US dollars. Re the person who said they pay less than $1 for a dozen eggs, why have I not moved to the US yet?! Damn!
  • That just because you're proud and excited to show people how much weight you've lost, doesn't mean that they want to know or even really care. Which is strange to think about now. I used to imagine that "overweight" and "big" was the only way people saw me. Harsh truths!
  • Its early but I've officially lost 30lbs!! So I'm excited. SW 240lbs CW 207lbs GW 198lbs (lowest weight I can remember being) So happy I have finally found something that is easy for me and the weight is literally falling off
  • Realising that I haven't logged my food for over a week now and am still on track and losing weight. I can trust myself to do this for the long haul now!
  • Great idea! I'm Kat, 27, married with a 3yr old girl :) Background is my almost whole family (I'm talking mum, dad, brother, grandmother and father, uncle, aunty...) All have type 1 diabetes. My dad and I both have type 2. I developed it when I was 15. I have always struggled to gauge the seriousness of having this…
  • My new favourite thing is having the confidence in myself to put myself first and say no thanks to a lot. Food in particular obviously. I used to get so worried or embarrassed about making a big deal about what I eat (I'm diabetic) and never wanted to be the odd one out. But the last 7 weeks have been an eye opener that I…
  • Husband letting me begrudgingly know that a dude was checking me out while I was getting our daughter out of the car yesterday. It's been a long time!
  • Exactly! Thankyou Karen :)
  • Pizza (this crust and pepperoni) and chocolate cheesecake! It was my mums birthday and she's got stage 4 cancer, so most likely her last birthday with us. If there is a more appropriate time to say *kitten* it! And eat pizza and cake, I'd like to know what! Definitely no regrets.
  • Starting weight 6 weeks ago; 109kg (242lbs) Current weight; 98kg (216lbs) Finally something that works, I LOVE this woe!!
  • I am right there with you with the false hypos! Also literally take it hour by hour and actually listen to your body. Its amazing how much clarity you get once you pass those first few weeks. You get into a rhthym and routine and start to feel like food is fuel and you want premium! For me anyway :)
  • Breakfast hack for busy mornings. (Which is every one with a 3 yr old and a husband that starts at 7am) Using a muffin tray, I put a few slices of shaved ham, crack an egg and sprinkle with grated cheese in each slot. Bake for 15 minutes and that's breakfast that takes a minute in the microwave!
  • ..the "medium" sized popcorn at the movies today. I don't knownabiut you guys in America but the medium in Australia is about 700 calories :o At least I had diet coke with it.... Haha.
  • Thanks! Will have a look. Fairly in the dark about medication, never even thought of different brands or them not working properly. Janumet has been working pretty well on me, I'm off all daytime insulin now which is a relief! Getting my bloods done in another weeks time to be sure.
  • Realising today that I'm actually looking forward to my lunch and dinner and a feeling of acceptance and reassurance that I know thats all I'm allowing myself to have. Just a general confidence that I'm in this for life now.
  • Hello aswell! I've been type 2 for 12 years now. Didn't care until I got pregnant 3 years ago and was put on insulin. Stayed on insulin (biggest regret now!) until a month ago. Have lost 9kgs in 4 weeks doing low carb. Only take overnight insulin now and recently started januvmet this week. Feel a lot better for sure. I am…
