I loved our last two destinations. I've been lucky enough to visit both of them. We went on a carribean cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary 18 years ago and one of the stops was Jamica. It was so fun to watch all the videos and see all the pictures and reminiss about the fun times we had. Our daughter and her family…

Challenge#2 Crikey surf's up balance video I choose this because with getting older you really need to continue working on your balance. My husband stands on one foot and puts his leg balancing on his knee to put his socks on. He says he's trying to keep his balance that way. If I tried that I'd probably come crashing…

Challenge #1 Sydney Bridge Climb I've been involved in three Amazing Race challenges and I just love the stair challenges. I just need to keep doing it in between contests. Love the cardio and lucky that I have 17 stairs right here at my house.

Challenge #3 I don't have a problem at all with eating my greens. I LOVE veggies! This week I've enjoyed kale, romaine, iceberg lettuce, green peppers, green beans, broccoli, asparagus, cucumber, spinach, jalepeno, cilantro. Great challenge ;)

Challenge#3 I made Beef and Broccoli Stirfry with Cabbage, Peppers and Onions. I was sent an email with a few diabetic recipes in it and this is one I chose to make. It has fresh ginger in it and it was tasty! I served it over brown rice and my husband and I had a very healthy dinner.

Challenge#1 I completed the 5k frostbite foot race. I told my husband that I was going out for a 2.5 walk, but came back to the house after I had completed it and told him I thought I could go ahead and go for the 5k :) I enjoyed walking outside again since it's finally starting to warm up, but boy was it WINDY! It was a…

I know the new thing is quinoa, anyway new to me. I didn't know if I would like it, but my daughter made a delicious kale quinoa salad. I think I'll even ask for the recipe so I can have it again

1. Hi, my name is Brenda and I'm very proud to say I'm Shauna's mom. She's so positive and will be a great motivator to us all. I have 5 kids and I am grandma to 24 (the best and brightest) grandkids ever! I've been married for 42 years to my sweetie. Looking forward to retirement in a year and a half and see where that…

I choose Transylvania/Climb to meet the Count. Having 17 stairs in my house makes it a very accessible challenge. I think I'll continue that each week and see what kind of results I get ;). Done!!

I'm thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who made this beautiful world for all of us to enjoy! I'm so thankful for family to share my life with. I'm extremely thankful this year that my husband and myself were able to enjoy two Thanksgiving holidays this year. We got to celebrate with our son Spencer and his family and my…

Walked my last mile with about a 30 mile wind pushing me down the lane, ha!ha! By the time I finished it was just starting to rain. This has been a fun challenge and am looking forward to our next destination! Thanks to all who work so hard putting it all together :)

What a Beautiful night as I put in my first two miles! We are enjoying record high temperatures here in Utah so I thought I'd better get out and try to get some of my walking in before the snow flies in a couple days. And I got a bonus as the moon came up over the top of the Oquirrh mountains. The BRIGHT full moon was…

I have 3 of my very active grandsons visiting for a couple days. Their dad just finished serving 5 years in the Navy and now they're on their way to Richland, Washington. I was able to take a half day off work and we extended Halloween. We leased our field out to a friend who grew pumpkins and then let families come and…

Good job everyone! I'm really enjoying this leg of the race and it looks like everyone else is too! I have 17 stairs in my house so it makes that challenge easy, to count anyway ha! Ha! It does get my heart a pumping :)

I live in a small town called Grantsville which is 35 miles west of Salt Lake City Utah. We moved out here 33 years ago to raise our kids. It is a great place to raise a family, but our 5 kids are all married and moved away. Oh well that just gives us plenty of places to visit. We are in the middle of the valley between…

I'm trying to do a little extra but might not be able to do too much. Besides taking care of 10 grandkids with my daughter while my other daughter and her husband are in Switzerland and Iceland today and the next 4 days, I have a killer backache. I'm hoping to get out today for a little walk. I have loved everyone's posts…

Hi I'm excited to participate in another Amazing Race. My daughter Shauna got me involved in the last race and I REALLY had a great time competing in the challenges, trying new foods, trying new ways to exercise and getting to know our team members. I've been married for 42 years, have 5 beautiful children and 24 lovely…
