Ok, thanks. I guess I just needed the validation to know that it's ok for me to set my goal to lose weight at a slower pace and that I won't stop losing weight or gain weight by decreasing my deficit.

Thanks everyone! That makes sense that I would need to eat less the closer I get to goal. I currently have it set to lose 1lb a week, but I'm thinking once I have about 10lbs to lose, I should set it to .5lb loss/week? I should also add I'm not currently exercising other than walking to and from work, as I live close…

thanks! i wasn't sure if i would need to manually do it. i've used MFP multiple times, but never enough to actually begin to lose weight. i am currently sent to lose 1lb a week!
