Yes x3 The initial post by our leader, Ranger Rick, is very true and insightful. I started in the UAC last August but had several months in the middle without making the winner's circle. But it still kept me on track and helped me develop good habits that I know will stay with me! If you're struggling right now, especially…

Yes x3 I've noticed I'm much better at walking lately compared to the beginning of quarantine back in March. Maybe it's becoming more of a habit!

@SuziQ113 delicious-looking mother's day meal! @Chinkiri I hope things are going okay. Everyone in this thread has given great advice-- I hope some of it is helpful for you and also that you are able to look forward to things getting better as France begins lifting some restrictions. <3

Yes x3 This is why I love the habits the UAC instills in me: I pre-log my food partway through the day and see that since my Blue Apron dinner cooking is a larger meal, at 800 cal, I will need to do more than just 250 steps an hour and my 25 min calisthenics workout to stay under (at least if I want wine and an alfajor…

Yes x3 Large lunch so tiny dinner. Went on a walk in the evening and closed my Fitbit with 7 exercise days :) Had herbal tea after dinner but I don't log it since it's 0 calories. Very comforting though.

Yes x3 Experimented this morning and made some egg-less pancakes which actually turned out well. (Egg-less not because I'm vegan but rather because we ran out of eggs and haven't been to the grocery store since March.) Cut the recipe in half to only make 3 pancakes total for my husband and me because I knew if I made more…

@Chinkiri I live in an apartment in Washington DC in a neighborhood about a ten minute drive (or 10 min walk + 10 min metro) to downtown. I've been doing lots of walking around neighborhoods. I found a new one nearby that I hadn't walked in before. It's mostly just going up and down streets on the grid system and admiring…

Yes x3 Dinner tonight was planned as just bread and cheese (okay multiple cheeses). But weighed and logged and under!
-
@epangili sorry about that! You could also see if any treats are freezable. I made cookie dough a couple weeks ago and was eating two spoonfuls a day until I froze it in individual portions. I haven't eaten any since! Though I know it's there if I want it, but having it frozen adds a time-delay that's helpful for self…

Yes x3 Today was a rest day for my exercise routine so I just went on a 45 minute walk in the neighborhood with my husband. Tried making no-knead wheat bread for the first time today rather than regular knead bread. Forgot to oil the pans so taking the loafs out was quite the adventure 😂 I'm definitely a better cook than…

@readyornot1234 your description at the end sounded so good! By giant I mean around 9 lb total... 3 lb of which was cheddar so I'm with you on the hard cheeses front :) Also had a pound of blue, 1.5 of Brie and the rest a sampling of other types. We ordered it because we were down to our last thing of cheese and haven't…

Yes x3 Upped my Adidas app workouts to 5 per week with two rest days. Spread out the days between different body parts. Under on calories though weird assortment of foods today. Was on a family video call for my mom's 60th and that went long so I ended up deciding not to cook but instead just eat cheese and protein bars :)
-
Yes x3 Our giant cheese order arrived so we had chicken soup and cheese for dinner :) used my scale to weigh the cheese I started using an app to take a weekend Sabbath by using it to shut down most apps (prevent opening the app or notifications showing), including things like news or text messages. I also have it shutting…

Yes x3 Made empanadas today but overcooked them a bit by accident. Down to my last egg so saving it to make mayo tomorrow. Did my 25 min calisthenics and 65 min walk in the neighborhood with my husband so we could stay under calories.
-
Yes x3 Stayed well under today-- the food was under my limit even without needing the exercise calories from decluttering and a walk. Feels good!

Hi this is Cat. I live in Washington DC. I've been in the UAC since August and had a few months in the winner's circle, a few months not, then March with 4 passes and April finally back in the circle! After losing about 40 lb, I'm very close to my goal weight, and even had lowered my goal as I got closer. I love this…

@nodm I get push notifications for anything in my wall (likes, comments, replies to comments) but not when someone @ 's me in a group, like UAC. For those, when I'm inside the community section or a group I'll see a red number next to the bell icon near the top which I can click on to see who replied to me.

Yes x3 Cleaned the house, did 50 min calisthenics, and went on a walk. Ended up a couple hundred under on calories as a result. @lexabeep I usually eat back most or some calories and have found my weight loss pretty close to what mfp predicts. One way to think of it isike the difference between not very active, lightly…

Yes x3 My husband and I walked about 80 minutes and then I did 25 min of calisthenics. That gave me a lot of calories to eat, though I stayed under by more than 100. Decent start to May! Hoping for my second winner's circle month this month :)
-
Yes x3 and made it through April!!! First time since November that I've been back in the circle! :)
-
Yes x3 Under though only because of 30 min calisthenics and an hour walk. But still made it!
-
Yes x3 Second day in a row getting 250+ steps per hour for all 14 hours (8 am to 9 pm) and third day in a row with no wine. Though might end that streak tomorrow :) Two days left in April!
-
Very excited to hopefully make the winner's circle this month! Still at 3 passes with 3 days left! Today was a second no-wine day in a row and I ended up well under (usually I will eat right up to my cap, but today I was more than 100 under, despite cookies). I'm trying to use up eggs that are getting old so I made egg…
-
Yes x3 Had a giant lunch which put me in negative calories so instead of watching TV I went on a late-afternoon walk and ended up strolling around for 90 minutes. Still in the running for the winner's circle!
-
Yes x3 Did 50 min calisthenics since Saturday is my long day
-
This is an amazing group that truly helps you create long-term habits that stick. I honestly would not be making it through this time in the world without gaining weight if it weren't for the UAC. For example, I have three passes this month and am trying to make the winner's circle so can't have any more. After having a…

Yes x3 25 min calisthenics workout Thanks @nodm for the inspiring messages
-
What a great idea! Saving this to do once my current stash runs out!
-
Yes x3 10k steps! And lost a pound when I weighed myself this morning. Very close to my goal weight! Honestly though, the UAC is keeping me from going off a food cliff during this quarantine time. My mom, sister, and I were supposed to go on our first cruise ever-- to the Norwegian fjords-- in July and it was officially…

@BMcC9 insightful post! Pre-quarantine, my no-wine days were on gym days. Now they're on frozen food / canned soup days. I think this is because when I'm cooking I like a glass and then have more with dinner to accompany the food. But if it's just prepared food then I don't feel the need for a wine pairing. That's also…
