Yep Julie2038, I keep a deficit between 500-1000 all day and then an hour or so after dinner I check my deficit and if it's more than 1000 by a lot I eat a snack.

If it makes a difference to you - I don't have my Fitbit and MFP linked. I simple eat 1,000 less calories than what's listed on the Fitbit at the end of the day. I don't know whether the "exercise adjustments" are more or less accurate than Fitbits are at total calorie burn :)

I agree with pdxhak - I did the same to one ankle, and broke the other at a different point in time. Healing is #1 so if it hurts, please stop doing cardio. Everything is relative. When you're very overweight or obese you lose a large % of your body weight even when you're losing at a reasonable pace.
