You look even younger now than you did at 24! Congrats on your amazing results <3

If you don't want to be hungry going into it and you don't want to be full afterwards I think eating before hand, something small like a piece of fruit, would be best. But I agree with the poster above - meal timing is much less important early on. Just focus on creating a plan that fits your calorie and macro goals and…

Yes, you will absolutely continue to lose weight when eating at a deficit, even if everything you eat has lots of fat. It might not the be the healthiest way, but you can lose weight that way.

Thanks for all your help guys. That gives me a few ideas for what might be happening. And don't worry emarrgh - I was looking for the real answer... no matter how gross XD

I use https://trendweight.com/ You can sync to your Fitbit if you have one, which is perfect for me. The benefit is definitely "getting rid of" fluctuations. When you look at the weekly or monthly trend you can let go of those 2-5lbs that go up and down and see more accurately whether you're losing weight over all. To me,…

Bless people like you who chart your progress! So reassuring for people like me who latch on to fluctuations -_-

Congratulations on that awesome loss! I totally agree about patience and passing time being most of it. And this website is absolutely fabulous. I wish I'd known about it earlier. P.S. My trend is horrible! I think I'll start only eating back part of my exercise calories.... :$

Thanks for the comments/advice everyone ^_^ Very helpful all in all.

I've been using only entries with the green check mark indicating the nutritional information has been confirmed. I know that doesn't guarantee they're correct because it's based on how I describe/define what I'm putting in, but I'm doing all I can :)
-
No... I'm surprised because I *know* it's much more accurate, and yet it turns out to be less calories than I'd suspected. Most people underestimate, so when I didn't have a scale with me (I had one before I moved so I'm familiar with the process) I assumed that's what I was doing. I felt very full for the number of…

That is a complicated question! I can tell you that I personally have a Charge 2 synced with mfp and I usually eat back all of my calories unless I'm not hungry. I set mfp to sedentary. It is important to do this regardless of whether you eat back some or all of the adjustment because otherwise you'll be double counting…

It depends what you mean by "work." It's all about CICO. Think about it in terms of your whole week. If you're still at a deficit over all you'll still lose weight, just less by that many calories. If you're no longer at a deficit (I've definitely had binges that bad) then you won't lose weight. Simple as that. The only…

I personally weigh every day (but I don't expect progrsss every day!). This gives me more data points. If I weigh every day I have he maximum information about my current weight, trends (hopefully downwards), and fluctuations. By looking at all this I get a sense for what's going on in my body that's very helpful. On the…

http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm152152.htm The FDA says, "immediately stop using Hydroxycut products." Serious danger to your liver :/
-
1: Hydroxycut is not safe! The FDA recently released a warning about it, urging consumers to stop using it immediately. It can cause severe liver damage, and has already led to one death due to liver failure. Additionally, weight loss supplements (no matter how effective in the short term) cannot help you maintain your…

Don't be so hard on yourself! Will power isn't really as effective as people think. It's a lot more about building habits that you can feel good about. Ask yourself this - what's changed between when you felt really great and like you were on the right track... and now? You may find that other areas of your life are…

Hey guys! Just found this solution online: Forcing a Sync Once you have verified Fitbit is connected, you can try to force a sync. First, make sure your Fitbit has synced to the Fitbit dashboard. If you are unable to sync your Fitbit device to the Fitbit dashboard, please contact Fitbit support at https://help.fitbit.com/…

Thanks for trying, didn't work :/

TLDR, apologies. But I would say it depends on the type of exercise. For me walking outside always cheers me up (from the slight sweat I work up and the sunlight and seeing other people/going places/doing things). Heavier indoor exercise never gave me that lift in my spirits. But I've recently discovered a kind of exercise…

For me, I finally called *kitten* on myself. I admitted that I wasn't happy at this weight, and was never going to be. Furthermore, I realized that I had been steadily gaining weight for years, and that if I didn't take action I would eventually be hugely overweight and then obese and then dead. What a terrible future. So…

Same habit. It's hard to break - but positivity is key. Feel free to add me!
