I'm curious, what is everyone doing for exercise this week? I'm doing Ellen Barrett's Bikini Ready Fast dvd 3x alternating days with I'm not sure what. Any suggestions? The dvd is kind of cardio and strength training combined. I also walk approx. 5 miles a day - 6 days a week. Maybe I should try yoga on the off days?

Thanks for the idea! No I've never tried those but sounds like a good deal.

Hi everybody! How's it going for you? Don't forget to post and let us know! I'm feeling pretty good this week- had 3 hard workouts with rest days in between - cardio everyday due to the fact that I have 3 german shepherds to walk. I've been making sure I drink lots of water as well; that alone makes me feel so much better.…

[quote=You can do it. We probably (well I am certain of it actually) will have a more intimate group for the fall if we move forward with it. Try checking in more often even it you aren't on track. Sometimes this helps.[/quote] You're so right! Thanks for the encouragement.

By the way, everyone, you're doing great! Keep going - we're going to reach our big goals if we keep knocking out these little ones!

So just for today - a) exercise 60 minutes b) drink 9 glasses of water- one more than yesterday c) eat no more sugar - I had apple crisp for breakfast :# and man was it good but I only have 7 grams of sugar left for today!

I've never been on this thread before but it sounds like fun and good motivation/support! So just for today - a) exercise 60 minutes (already done 30) b) drink 10 glasses of water So simple when you think of it as just for today!

Sounds cool! (pun intended) I'd like to lose 20 lbs by my sister's wedding which is in December. That would put me at about 175 lbs. I'm in!

I think I would like to try again this fall. I'm falling off the wagon badly but that might help me pull it together. I'm trying to be more diligent in logging my calories and this is great for getting me on here every day. I just keep thinking "If at first you don't succeed, try a little harder"!

Favorite store to shop at: Thrift stores! I alter-upcycle clothes a lot. Favorite restaurant to eat at: Red Robin Favorite perfume: I only have one perfume anyway :) called One Thousand Wishes Favorite tv show: Bonanza Favorite sports team: Cleveland Cavaliers!

Yeah! I'd do the first one! This might help me get from doing knee push-ups to plank push-ups which I would really like.

I've done a lot of running and now I've added pilates. This summer I'd like to do more strength training with days of pilates and yoga intermingled.

So many have said c25k but I'm saying it too!!! It's a great program! I started it last April and did it throughout the summer, repeating weeks sometimes. I don't think I would have ever had the courage or stamina to run 30 minutes straight without it! I'm kind of doing it again now but starting on week 7 or so and working…

No loss this week but still going. Went out for a mile and a half jog this morning and it felt great! Motivation I read on pinterest recently: Success doesn't come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistantly. Hope everyone had a great week!
-
I'll join in with the LBD challenge, even though I'm a bit late :(. I think I'll still benefit from it  .
-
C25k is great for beginning! I used it last summer.
-
Thank you for posting! I've learned (and am learning) a lot of this through my own journey and it was great to see it here this morning in black and white. I needed reminded.
-
C25k is great! I finished it about a month ago and was having fun. Then some things got in the way and I stopped. Bad me! But this morning I went out again and enjoyed it so much! So here we go! To everyone who is considering doing c25k, I say go for it! And don't start out too fast. (I'm starting with week 4 I think, then…

That your mom would tell so many people what you're doing to be healthier :# .

P.S. What do you all think of barefoot running?
-
Thank you everyone for your answers! I really appreciate the responses and I've received some good advise! I'm not sure if you were asking me or not but here's my answer: I don't run on a treadmill! Really, I might if we had one (on rainy days). I think I walk about 4 mph and run at around 6 mph (which is a 10 min. mile).…

Two people told me I was looking good yesterday! Encouraging after a bad week.

I'm so close to this being mine! (Only I have a permit instead of license.)

Hi Bri! You can do it! I'm also doing C25K and I'm currently on week 8 this week. How's it going for you? I've lost almost 20 lbs since I started so you CAN do it! Consistency is the key for me. I have to run at the same of day time every time. Else I think I would put it off and never get around to it! If you'd like to be…

This^^ is what I did. When I couldn't finish a run, I'd go back and do the last week again. I'm currently on week 7. Good luck and happy running!
