When you find yourself reaching for food, stop. Take a breath. Take a drink of water. Have some gum. And start a regular exercise routine if you not already. Try a short mediation routine daily. Start journaling. Its ok to have fears and concerns. Just don't let them rule you.

I found that it helps if I try to think a bit why I am craving something - I am bored? Restless? Did I just see something on tv that looks really good? I am hungry/dehydrated and jumping on the first thing that sounds good? Or do I really really want the item in question? I generally find that if I stop whatever I am doing…
