I have an idea of the weight I want to be but really I am looking more for how I feel/look. I'm also trying to get to a healthier body fat % - that is where I have my goal number (to be in the healthy range for my age/gender).

Sent you a friend request. I agree, the success story threads are great motivation. I like: Before and After - Face Edition and What No One Tells You About Losing Weight (this one cracks me up). You can search on the Message Board page for the titles. Good luck...you can do it!

That crossing your legs when seated is much easier! I'm not trying to find a table leg or something to "hook" my foot onto to keep it crossed.

I agree with all that has been said previously. I understand being tired after work and not feeling like preparing food. I use my slow cooker...a lot. I put everything in it the night before and keep it in the fridge. In the morning I take it out and turn it on and when I come home from work...DINNER! I use Pinterest to…

Tex-Mex and Cake. I agree with what the others have posted so far. It's all about moderation. I don't eat it every day and usually not every week but if I am craving it bad enough I just plan my calories around it so I can have it without guilt. I've found that if I try to completely eliminate foods I end up failing…

I know having to buy new clothes has already been mentioned but I had this realization this past weekend Pro: The shorts I bought 2 months ago are now too loose and baggy :) Con: The shorts I bought 2 months ago are now too loose and baggy :|

I'm so sorry for your loss and know the hurdles that come with that. You are off to a good start so keep at it! Sending friend request.

Sent a friend request. I'm an emotional eater too. And a bored eater. And a sick eater. It is sad the extremes we will go to when we need to "fix a problem" but there is a healthy and balanced way to do it. Friends that motivate and inspire definitely help me. We got this!

Awesome job!

Go Longhorn and Texans! I'm also a Redskins fan. I think there are like 3 of us in the whole state lol

I'm sending you a friend request too. Weight loss starts in the kitchen so look at your "diet" to see what this issue might be there. You're doing a fantastic job with your classes so keep going! It sucks that she isn't supportive but don't let that get you down. You do you and be awesome!

I've lost a bald eagle + a guinea pig!

I'm 45 and just started my fitness journey 2 months ago. Down 13 lbs. Just started a 60 day challenge at my gym to lose 10% body fat in that time. Had been doing mostly cardio but now I'm trying to do 3 days cardio and 3 days of strength training. Down 1.8% bf in the first week. Going on vacation for 6 days starting Friday…

Sometimes we let them come in on the weekend and sleep with us but during the week we don't. I have 2 dogs and they take the whole bed! I'm trying to convince my boyfriend that we just need a bigger bed. We have a king right now.

I used to think that if I blew my calories early in the day that I would just call that day a bust and not track or count. Then I heard someone compare that way of thinking to this: "Oh no, I dropped my iPhone....guess I'll just run over it with my car now." and that helped me see the humor and error in my thought process.…

Awesome! You can do it :-)

Way to go!

You can do it and yes, you can lose weight without exercise. Just eat less calories than you burn. Here's a calculator to help you figure out how much you burn daily without exercise. When you add exercise you will burn more calories. Good luck!

I told someone recently that Yoga is the only exercise that makes me feel fat. Sure with others I am out of breath and sweaty but with Yoga I can feel all of my rolls and fat. I still go, as well, because one day I will be bendy!

I bought new running shoes and that helped a lot.

I was the same way with 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee. Then I went to fat free 1/2 and 1/2 which surprisingly is just as creamy to me. And just a couple of weeks ago I discovered So Delicious Coconut Creamer which I love! Non dairy and lower calorie. It doesn't taste like coconut - it's just creamy and delicious. Ranch…

I love Reese's Puff cereal! I was craving Cookie Crisp cereal a couple of weeks ago. YUM! Here are my go to cereals: Raisin Bran Crunch Special K Nourish with Cranberry and Coconut Special K Protein

I agree, figure out why you want to lose weight and let that be your motivation. Mine is to feel and look better in a swimsuit when I go on vacation in a few months (it's my dream trip and I want to look back on the pics from it and have no regrets about the way I look). I keep that in the back of my mind when I am…

Austin area - and yes, the cool front has cooled things down to a nice 80ish degrees. The humidity on the other hand....

I sent a friend request - you got this! I'm in Cedar Park :-)

Yep. This. I don't let it get me down though because I feel great and I know I'm heading in the right direction. Can we also talk about the difference in mirrors? Sometimes I get ready and look in the full length mirror at home and think I look slim and then later see myself in a different mirror and think "OMG I'm huge!"…

Congratulations! This is definitely motivation and inspiration!
