Quick question about when to workout during IF. I read that your first meal should be after your workout which really does not work for me. I already wake up at 5:15am to get ready for work so getting up even earlier to workout isn't going to happen. I usually go to the gym after work around 5:30pm but can't start my…

I have done it in the past and loved it! Definitely something I will do again. We have a great lake/river near downtown Austin that is perfect for it.

I have a Basset too! And an Anatolian Shepherd mix. Here they are a couple of years ago at Halloween.

My Basset Hound will get on the treadmill with me. He will come and sit by it while staring at me. I'll slow it down and he'll hop on for about a minute and jump off. He'll do this 2-3 times whenever I'm on it. My shepherd mix wants nothing to do with it.

I sleep with a memory foam pillow between my knees or under my knees if I am on my back. Definitely helps with the knees resting uncomfortably on each other.

Holy cow, I never thought about it that way. I always save the best for last.

This is my new favorite thread! I have laughed, smiled, and grimaced as I read page after page. Here are mine: Clasping my hands together and feeling the bones in my fingers (weirdly this is the first place I notice weight loss lol) Shopping with friends thinking I won't be able to buy anything at this store because it…

Yes - this! If I try to be too extreme and cut out foods completely I find I am more prone to fail (give up). If I allow myself, in moderation, to eat everything AND track it while staying in my calorie goal then I have a better chance at success. My weight loss challenge is mental...it begins and ends in my mind.

I'm in the same boat - I won't do it at home so I have to go to the gym. Plus the variety of classes makes it fun. I have no rhythm but I LOVE Zumba and Cardio Kickboxing. Who cares what people think when they see me offbeat and sweaty? GO and MOVE YOUR BODY! OP, I'm sorry that happened to you. Chin up, buttercup! Take in…

Can you be a little more pacific in what you're looking for in this thread?

I've been on here for a month and I want to lose about 50lbs as well. I joined a gym also - exercise is the easy part for me though. It's food...delicious, yummy food that is the harder part! MFP definitely helps me stay on track with the exception of the occasional "treat meal". As of today I am 9 lbs down. If I can do -…

If you don't have time to prep there are already prepared foods that are pretty healthy that you can pick up on the weekend and have all week. My Fit Food. Perfect Fit Meals. I can find both of these in nearby grocery stores. You may even check online to see if they deliver.

I had a Flex and loved it but switched to the Garmin Vivoactive Smart HR. I love the heart monitor and it's only a little bigger than the Flex. Either way, I think the heart monitor is worth it.

On Instagram there is a Lazy Girls Guide account that post workout routines and challenges. You can usually google or youtube the exercise name if you're unsure of how to do it. Planks are great for your core. You can also just youtube or google "core strengthening exercises" for videos and articles.

This thread has motivated me more than anything else I've read on MFP. Thank you all for sharing! I will share mine when I have an "after". I just started 2.5 weeks ago. A lot of my motivation for starting was how my face...well, double chin, looked in pictures. Y'all look amazing!

My "tan" is patchy and farmer-ish due to outdoor activities like golf. I don't lay out (and won't). I'm trying to figure out the best way to create an even tan for some upcoming trips. Spray tan? Self tanner? And how do I not turn orange??

My Basset Hound loves to get on the treadmill with and without me. He gets a nice little jog going :-)
