For weight loss, or for medical reasons?

whatever carbs within your calorie limit are fine.
-
Almond "milk." Avoid soy anything, it's junk at best, cancer causing at worst.
-
depends on your goals, but common ones suggested here are, for example: new rules of lifting starting strength all-pro simple beginner routine (google it)
-
Add weight every workout until you can only get 8 reps in, where the 9th would either be literally impossible, or with totally screwed up form. About 50% of that would be "light"

pff, I never wipe equipment down, before or after.

"1. Your program will be based on 4 exercises: squat, bench press, deadlift and the press. 2. You will train in the weight room 2-4 days/week." - Jim Wendler That said, find a good program. The treadmill isn't "hitting your legs hard" from an anaerobic/strength standpoint.

I have the same issue with the kegel machine.
-
Over on protein and under on calories is the best kind of over.

Get... Dr. Fiengenbam (sp) Lyle McDonald, and Alan Argon (sp) on the panel, then we're making progress
-
you are your own gym or convict conditioning, given your equipment.

As Wendler said, "This is a lifelong project"

bench, overhead press, row (chinup/ pullup / dips) Calorie deficit... but after evaluating with a dexa scan to stay safe.
-
Protein is muscle sparing, filling, so get plenty of it. And whatever fat/carbs you like.
-
Finally, someone that's even more soda'd than I am. :D
-
Oh Yeah bars taste quite a bit better than quest, but like quest, are hit and miss. I like OSTRIM elk bars too. No idea on sodium - I don't have any sodium specific health concerns so I dont bother tracking it.

They can stay on as long as they pay the extortion fee to California.
-
fish, like salmon, cod is about the healthiest meat you can eat.

Avoid "Fat bombs" if you're doing keto to lose weight. Not to be rude but, those of us doing it to lose weight already have plenty of fat. :D Do lots of food prep... get your green veggies. Don't neglect your protein.
-
This is the third or fourth thread on Keto on the first page alone, it's been super popular lately. Tip? Get your electrolytes!

Hehe. I drink around a gallon of diet soda per day. I cycle between Diet Mtn Dew, Diet Pepsi, and Diet Dr. Pepper. Yum yum yum. Helps keep the hunger/cravings down.

Yup. If the handgun roster is for 'safety' isn't it kind of funny that they allow law enforcement officers to endanger themselves and the public by giving them access to 'unsafe' off roster guns?
-
You said they were illegal to buy. Total rubbish. What I suspect happened, is you heard about the (totally idiotic, but sadly law) 'handgun safety roster' and completely misunderstood it There are currently, as of today, 53 models/submodels of Glocks available to buy new in California right now. And according to some…

I mean, if you think about it, considering we have 300+ million guns in the country and only 600 or so "accidental" (read: negligent) fatalities, that's a pretty good safety rate compared to, I don't know, ladders, pools, or dishwashing tablets.
-
Maybe skip the leg extensions, they're a little bit risky on the old ACL. Bulgarian split squats instead of lunges, IMO
-
IF you want to lose the fat, you gotta cut the calories. Keep that protein high with fish meat is fine, higher protein combined with lifting will help retain muscle mass.
-
I find it strange that people are terrified of law abiding, peaceable citizens being armed.
-
I was told the same thing in my most recent training (which was put on by two retired law enforcement officers.) In many scenarios, the bad guy is too close to be warned. A common drill is to hip fire two shots, retreat while bringing up to aim, and evaluate. Brandishing to stop a threat would only be for very specific…

You ru being attacked from behind can almost be completely eliminated by situational awareness. Also who the fitten carries a fixed blade knife openly? In some areas, carrying a fixed blade concealed is a pretty serious crime. Stabbing 'blindly backwards' is definitely a recipe for stabbing the ever living ish out of…
