Skulpt: Yay or nay?
It seems pretty cool, but.. on one hand, there are a lot of negative reviews about wildly inaccurate results and reliability. on the other hand, people are generally idiots and are probably doing it wrong. Any real user experiences here? Did you find it actually motivating or helpful?

Long intermittent fast before lifting.
It's too hot to lift totally at home, so I joined a gym. I have IBS, so I can't eat before I go to the gym. So my schedule will be: 4:30 Wake up. 5:00-11:00 Work 11:00-12:00 Gym 12:00 Meal 1 16:00 Finish lifting at home gym 19:00 fast begins. That's 6-7 hours after waking up before I can lift, on an empty tank. That's 17…

can anyone comment on growth stimulus training program?
IT's extremely popular over at the BB site - but I'd like some opinions from this crownd that's less 'tied' to it. 4 day splits seem to be more for the advanced lifter. Whereas I'm a beginner with 4 years experience.

Should I use the good-girl, bad-girl machine?
Physical therapist said I have garbage hip abductors (explaining knee valgus in squats, even at low weights). Gave me some band exercises to do. Since I'm not geriatric, I want to load as much weight as possible. Putting a rubber band on my ankle and pretending I'm Richard Simmons isn't going to cut it. I generally avoid…

Let's talk the sometimes dramatic disparate "After" results for a minute
(shout out to ETP FB people) I've noticed, over the years, that people with similar stats have remarkably different physiques. Through here, fb fitness groups, fito, etc. For the sake of the argument, we're talking male lifters. Throwing out the examples of people that are obviously on 600mg.... For example, Lifter A has a…

Need watch suggestion for weight lifting.
First > Not interested in a smart watch. Don't care about GPS/step tracker. No plug in charging. The precis of what I need: > Easy to set countdown timer. Like, i can easily set 90 seconds, and hit a button. It vibrates when the 90 seconds are up. Then, I need to be able to easily restart the 90 second timer. > STRONG…

Thoughts on gym membership for nooners, despite having a home gym.
> I have a home gym that's very well outfitted. And it's fantastic- when 'm in the mood to lift after driving my hour+ commute home. And if it's less than 80 outside. So, about 4-5 months a year. Near work is a gym that's about $45/mo. They have a couple squat racks. Anyone join a gym to get some of your workout done at…

LP Programming, Squat vs Deadlift frequency.
Currently doing GSLP. Think: starting strength, but with a SQUAT, DEAD, SQUAT pattern. So, OHP and Bench rotate as A/B But workout 1 is squat, workout 2 is deadlift, workout 3 is squat. so week 1 1 ohp + squat 2 bench + dl 3 ohp + squat week 2 1 bench + squat 2 ohp + dl 3 bench + squat This has me squat twice a week, and…

People who make noises while eating should be locked up far away from civilized society.
I'm lookin at you: lip smackers, mouth-open eaters, unnecessary slurping -- Eating shouldn't sound like a sprint through the swamp. SCHPLORP SCHMRRLK SPLRP SPLRP POP POP SCHMLOOORK. Attacking the plate with knife and fork like you're trying to slay a dragon. People that moan while they eat (Seriously, wtf?) Oh, and people…

cycling friendly (concealed) holster
any suggestions? All my go-to brands require a heavy duty belt, but that's not gonna work with exercise clothing. Have a compact (p238.) Considered top bar bag, but it feels like a bad idea in general. A light amount of printing is OK. A shell would be nice.

Weightlifting: If you can X after Y, you aren't working hard enough.
Anyone else hate this mantra? > If you can text/talk/gossip between sets, you aren't working hard enough. > If you can do isolation after compound moves, you aren't working hard enough. > If you can keep bowel integrity, you aren't working hard enough. > If you can walk after squats, you aren't working hard enough. It puts…

mapmyfitness sucks now. Any alternatives for cycling?
They screwed up the UI by removing features. Any other suggestions for something that can show a map AND replace a cycling computer?

Keto, weight loss, linear progression, oh my!
So I'm doing Keto. And I'm doing Starting Strength. Also I'm trying to cut fat and get some conditioning in. Also my toddler is having sleep regression, so recovery is iffy. SS 3x a week with no carbs and metcon too = FML. I'm thinking: Monday: SS Tuesday: HIIT (rower) Wednesday: OFF Thursday: SS Friday: HIIT (rower)…

Okay ladies and gents, the Lizar needs a PRE.
I lack sleep. I must lift. Sleep must be replaced with legal stimulants. The caveat, that makes it difficult... is I can not have a pre with creatine. I'm sensitive to it, and get wicked sick if I don't take it with a large meal. Everything I've looked through so far has at least 1500 mg.. My lifting session lasts about…
