I go to Planet Fitness so no heavy barbells are available, only Smith Machines. I have to use the Smith Machine but if you have access to barbells, use those as Smith Machine does not allow you to learn to balance.

Back in July 2016, my weight was 137lbs (I'm 5'9"). My goal is to gain some mass, not huge but pack on 10-15 pounds of muscles. Thanks. I will send you my current weight when I do that (I usually weigh myself 3x early morning and average it) plus my last 2 readings. I was under the impression that not eating enough carbs limits protein synthesis.
