Wonderfully supportive group, extremely well moderated, rules about courtesy and the like. Much better than on here. Good luck with your health and…

Actually, I am obese. Started at 43% body fat. Thank you for your vote of confidence that I am not. And this is my first time with lifting so I have been told that these are just initial gains and while exceptional, not completely unheard of by the professionals helping me. And these are the tools used by the sports physio…

I just finished my first 8 weeks of SL. I'm down 6.8lbs and up 7lbs of muscle. I've lost 21.5 inches in total, 5 of them off my waist alone. And I'm down 11.6% BF. Totally stoked by these results! I can't wait to see what the next 8 weeks brings!

Bumpity bump.

Thanks! It's kind of addictive and the results just make it more so.

Next goal is 188#. Haven't been that size since I started teacher's college in 2001. That's 11# from here. So here I go!

It took me all month but I finally made it! Last time the numbers were this low on the scale was January, 2005. Feeling motivated to keep going!

Thanks to the inspiration I've gotten from this thread, I started my SL program last Friday. Woo hoo! Does anyone else get excited for their next workout? Or is that just me? Because I'm heading to bed tonight thinking, "Yay! I get to lift tomorrow!" :)

@JenHuedy nicely done! I'm just starting my 5x5 journey after losing 65lbs. You give me hope that I might one day look that good!

@RoseTheWarrior Wow! Your transformation is amazing! Thank you to all of you who have shared your stories here. I'm just starting my weight training and I'm feeling so inspired by you all. I'm 49, 5'5.5", and currently 201lbs. I've lost 66 lbs changing how I eat and doing yoga for strength and flexibility. Now I'm ready…

Awesome! I'm definitely going to focus on lifting and strength.

Hi there, I follow a plant based food plan. I've lost 65lbs in the last couple of years and have about 50 to go. Haven't felt this good in years and years and it's primarily because of eating plants.

I know you've been getting a hard time in here. Sorry about that. That is not helpful. For me, I stalled out for half of May and June. It was frustrating. I knew I hadn't been getting enough sleep and I was missing something in my diet because I was feeling . . . off. Not sure what it was. May and June had been very…

To get into "onederland." I'm at 202.5 as of last Friday, down 65# from my heaviest. And I'm so close that I dream about it at night. Haven't been that low since January, 2005. Was stalled for a couple of months but since I started tracking with MFP on July 8th, I'm down 4.5#. I know 199 is just around the corner. Will it…

Beautiful woman, before and after. Your post is raw and honest. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks! I've tried a few different things and found myself over trained really really easily. Honoring rest days is more challenging for me than working out daily. :-/
