  • Dont feel guilty at all, listen to your body. I am the first person that will tell you that for the most part I do NOT believe in overtraining. I know many will disagree with me hence why I said "for the most part". It sounds to me like your body needs a day or 2 to recover. 5 days in a row for 50 min really isnt that much…
  • Just wanted to quickly chime in. I am ALL for pushing your body to get results, I think that is how we truly make change. But if your soreness is actually pain....then you probably need to take a day or 2 off. Listen to your body. What you dont want is to get an injury, pull or tear a muscle because you just overworked it…

  • oh come on BRO we all want respect from others. I get wanting to do it for yourself, that is my goal as well but who doesnt appreciate the looks?
  • What are the macros it is giving you?
  • For me personally no gloves no way. If you're female ok I get it but a guy??? Come on now! Your calluses are a badge of honor and no gloves will increase your grip strength which is helpful for things like shrugs and db rows.
  • You probably dont need as much as you think. I would guess around .5g per body lb. Protein helps build muscle and the more muscle you have on you the faster your body burns fat off. If I had to just guess I would again say maybe .5g per body lb to .75g
  • And I have seen that vid with Jay and he says he DOES NOT reccomend that others do what he does by eating candy post workout
  • Again we arent Jay Cutler we arent Dorian Yates. Guy who are on a TREMENDOUS ammt. of drugs and have so much lean muscle mass their bodies burn off sugar intake so easily. They are the 1%, we are not
  • And Ronnie Coleman at a 2 whole pepperoni pizzas the day before he won his 6th MR. OLYMPIA and Jay Cutler use to eat candy post workout. You are talking about people who are loaded on drugs, diet pills etc. They are the 1%, you and I are not. They can get away with it, we cannot.
  • No one said you had to want to step onto stage. But this is a bodybuilding thread. If you want to debate sugar on another thread that is fine. But if you are someone who aspires to step onto stage I would avoid sugars as I stated above.
  • Shes eating sugar pre-workout I am not sure why. Post workout she eats sugar because SOME research has shown that sugar post workout is actually beneficial to your muscles. Keep in mind the research that has been done on this shows that the gains you get from sugar in your post workout is so minimal many of us will never…
  • LMAO uh youre cute! No fear mongering here just facts. You eat all the sugar you want and be happy with that. As a lic. nutritionist I don't think its a good idea for people to go out and start eating things loaded with sugar and want to be a bodybuilder. Which this thread is about. Unless you are a lic. nutritionist as…
  • Again this is a bodybuilding forum. Whats wrong with sugar??? Do you really want me to list the unhealthy reasons why we should all be avoiding sugar?
  • Here is the problem with white bread....it has SUGAR. White rice does not. I would avoid white breads if it were me. White rice is fine though
  • Well this is a WEIGHT GAINING & BODYBUILDING thread so I am assuming the people here are into eating clean I would hope lol.....Nothing wrong or "unclean" about white rice, its all I eat when I eat rice. White rice actually digests much easier than brown rice. Nothing not clean about white rice at all.
  • We all know what "clean" food is. You are more the Rich Piana diet I am more the Kai Greene, Jay Cutler diet
  • Ive had bruising in my calves from lifting and my triceps and biceps (at least thats what I think it was from) lol

  • Obvious example being anything with trans fats.[/quote] Yeah to name 1 of many, yes. There are bad foods for you. People who say otherwise because they are doing IIFYM are people who just are ignorant to the fact. Sure you can lose weight eating unhealthy and starving yourself eating only 1100 calories a day but its SO…
  • Just a heads up to everyone on this thread. There is BAD food for you even if it fits your macros. Saying anything less than that is bad info
  • I would avoid any meal replacement shakes if you can. They typically are filled with sugar! If anything you can drink a protein shake and have a banana with it or some rice cakes for your carbs. Just my 2 cents

  • Wow you didnt lose anything really on your cut. Good on the bulk end 10 lbs is pretty significant for your stature
in Cutting Comment by BHFF January 2017
  • Im confused by your question of "Just wondering if at the end of a successful bulk/cut people generally end up weighing a bit more then when they started". After a bulk you gain weight, after a cut you lose weight. Its pretty simple
