Everyone always talks about running out of belt holes on here. I can never relate because I have a belt with holes all the way around. Decided to see how much slack I have. Yeah that’s a lot of extra belt :D

THE DREAM :D

I just wanted to say that this post is SO helpful for those of us slowly moving toward the mysterious land of maintenance. I think the part that struck me the most is that I too had no IDEA what a low weight would mean for me. When you have been obese your entire life, it is impossible to imagine what a reasonable healthy…

2 pounds until ONEderland! (i might cry tbh)

I came out of the womb at 10 lbs 8 oz :D

Ran a mile on the track without checking my pace on my fitbit.... Ran it in 10:55! That's a whole minute faster than my previous mile. I think I underestimate how fast I can actually run when I set my pace on a treadmill, or I constantly check my fitbit.

I walk every day at work. I bring water with me everywhere. I plan meals and grocery shop once a week. I bring my lunch to work, plus tons of snacks. Not only do these changes help my health but they have saved me hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars.

Other people will mistake your bragging for complaining. For example: me: I'm so cold all the time without all that extra padding! them: You could try using a space heater..... me: I don't wear my wedding ring anymore since it's too big. them: Well you could get it resized.... internally i'm just like STOP TRYING TO SOLVE…

I fell on the ice (well actually I was petting a dog and it knocked me over :D ) but anyway the dog-owner/my coworker gave me his hand to pull me up and I actually LET HIM. Idk about y'all but when I was 300+ pounds I would just laugh when people would try to help me up.

Saw my cousin for the first time since losing weight. He hugged me and was so shocked that he could reach his arms all the way around me :D he even had room to hug my husband as well. Also I told my trainer my 2018 goals. One of them was to start bench pressing (the previous posts reminded me!). He said, well that we can…

What worked for me was eating frequently. I always eat when I'm hungry - I just make better choices. I knew I wouldn't get far if I was hungry all the time. I'm the lady at work with two lunch boxes full of snacks :D BTW my calorie allotment was around 1650-1900 throughout my journey since it changed as I lost weight. As…

Ran a mile in 11:52!!!! One of my 2017 New Year’s resultions was to run a 12 min mile. For comparison, the first time I ran a mile without stopping was on 7/15/16. It took me 15:45.

Heck yeah this is my kinda thread. Started at 319.4 on 7/5/16 and now at 205. I’m 6’1”. Calorie counting and consistency.

bundled up to run some errands in this 15 degree weather... and realized that it's a lot easier to layer when all your clothes are way too big for you :D

112.8 pounds down I’m 6’1” :) SW: 319.4 CW: 206.6

Yep. All this. I began my foray into minimalism around the same time I started my weight loss journey. Over 110 pounds and many bags of stuff gone.

Well, it's December and I'm still biking and running to work. I'd say that's a victory, considering I live in Vermont.

Congrats to you!!! My goal is to run my half marathon in April at a normal weight too :)

As a fellow tall person (6'1" heyyy) I hear you! It takes a while to go down the first few sizes but then it gets faster. I started at a 22 but I was an 18/20 for most of my weight loss journey. Then I quickly went to 16 and then 14 and suddenly the 14s are too big. Makes it a pain to buy pants, lol.

I did not expect to be so protective of my own story and process. I am very sensitive when anyone criticizes my lifestyle, even if they don't mean it that way. That's why I hesitate to go into detail about this whole thing because it makes me very vulnerable. Also I joined a gym for the first time about 2 months go. I told…

I had been doing 15 lb goblet squats with my other trainer last week. Met with a new trainer this morning and wanted me to increase my weight until I felt like I could do 3 squats but no more. I was able to squat 40 pounds! And I probably could've done more than 3. I did not expect to make a 25 lb increase in a day lol.

Onederland by 2018!! I joined a diet bet for the four weeks after Thanksgiving to help me get there. Only 11.6 pounds to go. I have not been under 200 pounds since 8th grade. I even have the medical records to prove it!

A two-part NSV: this morning I realized I could do a child’s pose with my butt STILL ON MY HEELS. In 7 years of yoga as an obese woman I have never been able to do that (belly and thighs got in the way). While taking a picture of said child’s pose, I noticed a frightening lump on my shoulder. Was about to self diagnose…

Last November I ran my very first 5K in 46:37 at 280 pounds. Yesterday I ran the same race to compare stats. I finished in 39:54! I am actually shocked that I finished under 40 min. That's over 2 min faster per mile B) Oh and I now weigh 213. Had to recreate this pic to celebrate :)

Okay I'll bite. But it might not be what you're looking for. Keep in mind that it is very difficult to share these pictures, but I'd like other people to know what to expect. I was about 320 in the before pictures and now I'm 215. I am 6'1". It took me 14 months to lose 100 pounds. I am still losing weight and doing weight…

hit 214.8 this morning!! Woo!! Next goal is 210 and I'll treat myself to some LUSH stuff ;) non-scale goal: do a side plank on both sides without falling

Weight has been flying off this week. I upped my calories to a more livable 1 1/2 lb loss per week (1850 calories) and it seems to be giving me less stress. I have found that if my goal is too low, once I realize I'll be over it, I just blow my calories for the day. This number is more realistic and has actually been more…

Had my first session with a personal trainer today. Did some bodyweight exercises to see where I'm at. After losing 100 pounds it's really astonishing the things I can do now that I couldn't do before, even without any training. Excited to get supah strong!
