So I didn't actually get a drink at my anniversary dinner after all. I just wasn't interested in anything. I think the desire is mostly gone. This means I'll finish out the month with only one drink! Not bad. Looking forward to Sober October. (It rhymes!)

Can't find my last post, but I hit 100 lbs lost AND I ran a 10K! Some new goals to focus on:* no alcohol in October * run another 10K in November (and beat my time) * hike a new mountain before fall ends * start personal training this week! ah! * CSA starts in October! Try to limit other food shopping. * Next mini goal is…

heck yeah! I've caught the running bug hook line and sinker. One of my 2017 resolutions was to do 5 races. This 10K was #4 so I have to do at least one more this year! I'm already eyeing a 10K in November that sounds lovely. Plus there's a half marathon in April that is advertised as having NO HILLS! Um, yes.

That is an amazing transformation!! Good for you. I am also in for October. Hope to try for zero this month.

Just wanted to check back in to keep myself accountable. So far I have had one beer this month. My anniversary is tomorrow and we're going to a nice restaurant where I'll have one drink if I actually want it. It has been easy not drinking with friends - and so much cheaper! I was upset on Saturday but instead of drinking…

Ran my first 10K yesterday! It was HOT. Record-breakingly hot. And I live in Vermont, where it should be nice and cool this time of year! But I did it! I ran the whole thing and beat my goal B) Oh and several of my coworkers ran it with me! I'm so happy that I've connected with the active people at work. They aren't as…

I'm running a 10K next Sunday too!! We got this B)

Yesterday I biked to work IN THE ROAD. For months now I've been scared at certain places and have stayed on the sidewalk. But I finally did it! And it wasn't that bad :) there is one tricky part where I have to be in the left lane to go straight, but otherwise it's okay. Also this morning I had my fastest pace for my run…

Finally joined a gym to start lifting, thanks to all the inspirational strong women on this thread :)

Hmm these comments seem a bit complicated. It's easy to figure out your maintenance calories. I won't say anything about whether or not you should do this, since I don't have an opinion either way. If you are set to lose 2 lb/week, just add 1000 to your daily MFP calorie goal. For example, my calories are currently set to…

Hit my MFP goal of 220! Was surprised that there were no celebratory messages from MFP for meeting my goal... I didn't even get one of those images that come up when you hit a milestone. It was like just another weigh-in! Have .6 until 100 lbs lost (and then I'm sure i'll get an image to share, lol). Also I made a new…

Exactly one year apart~

So far so good. Friends invited us to a "Paint and Sip" night later this month, but I just learned that you actually have to pay extra for the drinks anyway. It won't be too hard to say no to the wine, I think.

The last time I hiked Mount Mansfield (2012) I couldn't make it to the top. I stopped partway up and waited for my friends to reach the summit and come back down. Well yesterday I made it to the top. It wasn't even that hard ;)

How about a leg progress pic? :D About 100 pounds lost and lots of running and biking between the two pics.
-
only 1 pound left to hit my big, seemingly impossible goal of 220 only 1.6 pounds to go until I hit 100 pounds lost (why couldn't i have started MFP with a nice round number? lol) AND THEN... new goals? I have some ideas but I'll post them here once I get there.

Yay tall people! I'm 6'1" :) Just wondering, what is your goal weight?

You mentioned chickpeas, which made me thing of this amazing recipe: Mediterranean Orzo Salad from The Pioneer Woman. Scroll down to view the recipe. For your needs, you would just want to use whole wheat orzo. Otherwise it fits the bill since feta is not from cow's milk.

You could also find a small person to pick up

Watched a video of myself from early summer and noticed a big difference in just the 20 pounds lost since then. I've found that the more I lose, the more significant each loss looks, especially in my face.

I am in! My one planned drink will be for my anniversary.
-
Yes this. I've also made other people into food sharers, lol. I won't order something if I know my husband will order it (like fries) and I can just steal a few bites :p I'm sure he looooves that.
-
Yes! I never thought I would be able to order a kiddie size ice cream cone and give the rest to my husband when I got full. And you're right: food sticks around much longer. My husband made brownies two days ago and I haven't had any since he made them.

My NSV is about overestimating how much space I take up. Last night I went to the fair. We went on the roller coaster, which was one of those small old-timey rickety ones. My husband sat in the front seat, which looked to me like it would fit 2 small children but not 2 adults. I tried to sit behind him, but the operator…

Lately I've noticed that the skin on my back bunches up when I'm lying down. When I'm doing yoga, I actually have to adjust my back rolls :D I don't mind, I'm excited to see changes like this after losing almost 100 lbs.

For some reason, people have started making fun of fat people to me, as if I'm now a part of their club. Even people who know I've lost a lot of weight (like my family). Makes me angry and sad.

Just got back from a cruise. Many activities had weight limits, for example: waterfall excursion: 275 lbs zip line: 265 lbs waterslide: 230 lbs At 225, I could go on all of them! If we had gone last year, I couldn't have done any at 300+ lbs. Plus I had lots of room in my airplane seat.
-
You are beautiful! Also I love your hat :)

I lost my first 50 in 6 months and lost the next 45 in 7 months. Started at 320, now 225.
