I would try doing your Ab work at the beginning of your work out. Lower back pain when doing ab work usually means your overworking your abs. i would also build up your lower back with Low back extensions.

You may be working out too much. you body needs time to repair after a workout so either take a day to work on other muscle groups or a day off. Also make sure you stretch after your work out and as stated above potassium helps

I use a fit bit. You do have to set it before your work out and when you are done (just push and hold the button) this gives you and idea of how many calories you burned during your work out time. although it is an average.

BCAA (Branched chain amino acids) take them before and after you work out. They help muscle repair and cut down on soreness. also streatching after your work out is key.

Eat smart, if you need energy before working out I would go with a protein /whey powder shake. I would also balance your work outs with weights one day cardio the next. Muscle will burn calories when not working out so building them up will help you reach your goals but keep in mind muscle is weight so what you are losing…
