@skymningen I too am a lurker. I've been lurking for just over a year and this thread (as one of many) has been a real motivator. I can finally say I am in a UK size 14 after starting 15 months ago I am 65 pounds down from a size 22 (pushing 24). Cannot believe how far I've come and it seems a slow but at the same time a…

Well done to you too :) Thats awsome! If I can lose the last few in that time, I'll be happy. I reckon you will make your goal in good time, just healthily and safely x

I lost my first 50 pounds in about 11 months. I've been taking it steady and went from just under 17 stone (233lbs) to just over 13 stone (183lbs) in that time. I have heard of people losing it in less time than this but as I said, I've taken it steady. Hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck, it can be done!!!

Banana ice-cream. Chop up however many bananas desired. Place in freezer for a few hours. Once frozen, blend with desired flavoring, eg., Options hot chocolate, maybe. Maybe add a small amount of milk? And eat once desired consistency reached. One step further is to put back in freezer once blended for firmer product. You…

Has anyone found an answer to this? I'm having the same issue. Sedentary, 15K+ steps walked (shows as a deduction of -1401cals for this rather than addition of any cals), short jog +50 cals and spinning 500+. My standard calories for 1lb loss pw is 1390. How in the heck am I now over my calories if I've been more active…

It has taken me 7 months to lose 36 pounds. It's been up and down. Some weeks I've lost nothing, some weeks I've lost a whole bunch. It can feel as though it's taking for ever sometimes, and you can look at yourself and think "where have I lost the weight?!" The key is to just keep pushing on and take it a day at a time.…

I made it for the first time in years to Onederland-just! I was 199.5 as of this morning. 33.5 pounds down so far and another 1.5 pounds until halfway point. Slow and steady seems to be winning the race, as it has taken me since June to get this far. Well done to everyone on your journey!

Hi Ina, Its been almost a year since you wrote this. I hope you have had some success with your journey.

I found that when I started this journey, I began eating really clean and over the course of two or three weeks I lost about 1.5 lbs, which was really disappointing as I have quite a bit of weight to lose. I then relaxed and started counting calories (using MFP) and weighing my food. It's amazing how many calories over…
