Thank you all for the prayers! It got worse before it got better, but today she called and asked if she could come over. (well, technically she had Anabelle call, but still) She apologized and said that she realizes she blew everything up way beyond what it was and that she's finally decided she needs help. She got a list…

Happy anniversary, Skip! I hope you celebrated with some Fit Points! Is your eye okay, Dave? I can't imagine 3 months of heavy winds, Steph. My youngest used to be terrified of wind ... she'd cry if she had to go to the bus stop on a windy day. I'd never seen that, before! Have you started doing any work with WW in…

That's a TON of fish, Kelly! You're like a fish serial killer! Fishy criminal minds will be trying to figure you out! The pool looks amazing, Skip! How are you healing? I also have no idea about "tops and bottoms". Happy Flag Day to all! Where were you when the boat died, Mary? Did you have to get towed in? If so, I've…

WOW! It's May 30? How did that happen??? It sounds like your son is at the cusp of a GRAND ADVENTURE, as my Jim would say. How exciting, Kelly! And thanks for the show suggestion. I never know what to watch, since we so rarely watch anything. We had James last night for a few hours while Dd24 and her dh went out (first…

Gentle hugs to you, Skip! It's good to hear that the doctor is optimistic. Lee, maybe we need the collar, too! Our dogs go nuts when people come to the door. Or when they walk too close to the house. Or sometimes when they dare breathe. Is it pretty hot there, Bob? ((((Steph))))) Any idea what triggered the migraine? I've…

I'm praying for you now, Skip!

Sam, we have NEVER left anyone in the waiting room. NEVER. I'm guessing either there was a Zoom issue where we couldn't see you, or maybe you mixed up the time. Either way, I'm sorry that happened! Try again. Lou, that was really meaningful! David, YOU ARE MY HERO!!! 37 years is awesome! My sponsor's husband is there, too…

Lee, I would organize your sock drawer if I were there ... I kinda enjoy that kind of thing. Dennis, pine straw? I must google this to see what it looks like. David, that is EXQUISITE! WOW! You are such an artisan! Sounds like a GREAT party, Mary! That's AWESOME! I hope we get to have parties again one day.…

Hi everyone! Okay ... quick updates: * I still have a job, but some of my closest friends don't. And there are more cuts coming. It's been really hard on us all. I've been putting my name out there a bit, trying to not cling too tightly to this one thing that is so obviously precarious. * Baby James is 1 month old now! And…

Happy Mothers' Day, everyone! Dave, with WW, we continue to use a person's original height for all calculations, unless that person desires otherwise. The reason is mostly because of the SP the person is given. Those are based on a person's height, weight, sex, and age, which determine their basic metabolism rates. The…

I'm up super early because Jim has a thing in Cleveland today, and I'm going with him. I have some Coach friends there, and we're going to meet in the parking lot of the place he'll be. We'll keep our 6' of distance and sit in lawn chairs and chit chat for a couple hours. Also, then he doesn't have to do all the driving…

Happy Wednesday, all! I hope your week has been good. I'm in a super-crappy mood and trying to figure out what career path I could take next. I'm praying a LOT.

Skip, how is work going lately? Any more joyful? Enjoy your mom, Kelly! I hope it's as beautiful there today as it is here right now! Dave, while I love both, I'd totally choose the beach, provided it's warm and sunny (or nightime with a big moon). There's something so powerful and mesmerizing about those waves and all the…

Happy birthday, Lou! Look! It was just a few years ago that you were HERE! Hugs to you!

Wow!! That's awesome! Vrooooooooooooooom!!!

I want my nail girl!!!! The crazy thing is that she lives across the street. But I don't want to germ her up, so I'm restraining myself until the shop opens up again. I did my nails myself this morning, since I certainly have the TIME. Jim had to have a COVID test recently because he has his yearly throat dilation tomorrow…

Ha! And you look maaaaaaaaaaaaahvelous in your Holland T! Purple is your color!

This is the first I've heard of Bosch books ... I need to check them out! I already googled them. I've read everything we have in the house, most books multiple times. I'm just in the middle of reading Rising Strong (Brene Brown) for the third time. There are a couple new ones on the market that I want, but I haven't…

And WOW! States are already lifting the stay-at-homes? Ok. Dd28's fiance's foster-brother has it and it's not looking good. He's in his 30's, has a 15 year old daughter, has been on a ventillator for almost 2 weeks and is in a coma now. A very close friend of mine here may have it, too, and several of my fb friends have…

He's home! I'm looking forward to talking to Dd23 tomorrow, to hear how her first night with a newborn and no nurses goes. Apparently the dogs are smitten.

Thank you, Sam ... that really means a lot. If you get a moment, check out my current post on Workplace. It's my jab at the system from the most positive slant that I could come up with. Skip, where did you get the trivia questions? Were any particularly more fun than others? I'm looking at coordinating another Coach party…

Dd23 and her husband came home a couple hours ago, without baby James. He is having some lung issues, and it's probably because of those that he's also not eating yet. I know that walking out of that hospital without him was one of the hardest things they've ever done. He's made improvements already, though, so hopefully…

I found this pic of her yesterday ... I think she was 4 here. My baby! Having HER baby now!

April 15, 2020 ... looks like this will be Baby James' birthday! Dd23 went into labor a couple hours ago! We aren't allowed at the hospital, but we're watching the dogs, and there was NO way I was going back to sleep after I talked to her. So, here I am. Drinking coffee, setting aside all the stuff we'll need at her house,…

Oh my goodness, Dennis! It's windy here but not THAT windy!!! So is it Skip's birthday or not? I'm so confused. Your Zoom sounds fun, Mary! We did a coach one, too ... we had 20 of us on playing "would you rather" for a couple hours. SO FUN! No word on the new baby yet. Dd23 is due Saturday ... c'mon, little James! Of…

Sam and Lou, which WW workshops are you guys doing? I'd love to visit you! I've been hitting around 20+ per week (including my 8). Yesterday was our youngest's birthday ... she's now Dd20! We started the day by bringing her breakfast in bed and singing to her, and pretty much catered to her all day. It wasn't her normal…

I bought Easter candy for all the kids and the grands, bagged it in lots and lots of plastic baggies, and we'll drive to their houses and hide it in their front yards super early, before the sun. Then I'll send them each a message and let them know how many baggies to look for. I hope it makes them smile! The grands got a…

Skip, you're putting in a pool? Sheesh! First Raine, then you ... I want a pool! (but there's really not much point in Michigan ..) Mary, I love reading your posts! You are such a beacon of hope! And the cool thing about Peanut M&Ms is that they're easy to track ... they're about 1 SP each. Life lessons from Lee's dad: to…

Well, I'm done for the week ... my first full week of Virtual Workshops. It went well, I think! We'll get it all figured out. And it will be interesting to see what happens once this is over. I think a lot of people really like these ... we might need to keep at least some of them. Now I'm going to work on painting again.…

Sam, did you tap the link on our Holland Connect group? It should have worked, if you did ... Skip, was hoping to see you again today. Dennis, it was AWESOME getting to see and talk to you a bit yesterday! You made my day!
