Jim agrees with you, Lee. We didn't tell him our contractor, because it turns out he's not licensed. (which we didn't think to ask) So, we had to get the permit ourselves as the homeowner instead of having a contractor get it, and Jim thinks he's trying to prove that homeowners are unqualified to do decks.
