My therapist made me a CD so that I can do self-hypnosis. It does seem to help. On some days. If I'm open to the suggestions. You can download self-hypnosis recordings for weight loss online for very reasonable prices. It's just a tool to help you stick to the program.

I'm in, but I usually only get to the forums on the weekends. Hoping you'll cross post to your profile!

I enjoy the Nutrition Diva.

Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and spray it on - but not if you've got anything that you've scratched open. I also brew a tea (not for drinking!) with calendula, chapparal, comfrey, and chamomille. A local health store sold this to me as "skin tea". Brew it and put in the refrigerator. Then soak a washcloth in it and…

I have lymphedema. Go do MLD as previously advised. I actually go weekly, rather than every 3 months. Exercise in the water. It will help your lymphatic circulation and decrease the pain you're having with exercise.

I do mason jar salads for lunch, too. I put it in as a recipe to make logging easy peasy. The next week, I just edit the recipe for the new week's salad. I'm not just eating better; I'm also saving a ton of money by not eating out so often.

We usually go out, and that means no seconds and no tempting leftovers. It really helps keep the holiday sane.

I do salads every day. I prep on Sundays, so they are the same for the whole week. Last week I had a Mediterranean salad. This week, it's all about the curry. You can do so much.

That's how I got my first scoby and now I've got many many scobys floating around in the fridge waiting for friends to want them. LOL

660 Curries by Raghavan Iyer. He traveled across India for a year learning recipes from home cooks. Every recipe I've made from it has been delicious and easy to make.

Feel free to add me. I try to be motivating and interactive.

I have the Polar A300 and love it. I originally had the Polar H7 HRM, but have traded up to the Scosche Rhythm+.

You can take one from the store, drink only half of it. Put the rest of it in your jar with your sweet tea and it will form a scoby. That's how I started my first batch. I got the unflavored GTS brand and made sure I got a bottle with a lot of "stuff" at the bottom.

If you're cooking something like muffins or quick bread, you can substitute applesauce for all oils/fats.

I love my Instant Pot. Took salmon out of the freezer when I got home, popped it in the pot, made pasta and sauce (from scratch) while it was cooking, and was sitting down to dinner 10 minutes later.

I loved The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. I think that was my favorite of his. I'm currently reading The Old Curiosity Shop on my lunch breaks. I'll finish it in a couple of years at the rate I'm going.

I do this with gluten-free ivory teff tortillas. Very yummy!

I love my Polar watch. I got my first one in 2000 and it lasted until this year when I bought a second one.

I am a salt craver. I am so much more likely to slip when I'm busy or stressed. Mindfulness has been helpful for me. I am still working on it! Here's a link: https://zenhabits.net/what-is-mindful-eating/

The bond with a dog is so tender and unique. Never apologize for your grief process. No one expects you to be positive and upbeat while going through this.

Cut your raw sweet potato up into cubes and put them in a ziplock or tupperware. Add some olive oil, red pepper, and brown sugar. Toss to coat the sweet potatoes. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast in the oven at 450 degrees for 40 minutes.

I love to cook, but oh my gosh, the dishes! I hate doing the dishes afterwards. Seriously though, I love my pressure cooker for meat, and I love roasting vegetables in the oven. Both are super simple to do.

Dropping the soda is a great thing to do for yourself! Congratulations on this decision. I like fresh squeezed lime or lemon in my water, but I also love the taste of it plain.

I use the polar H7 HRM for swimming and it works great. Interested to see if it still works when I'm wearing a wet suit this winter.

So sorry to hear about your dog! That is so heartbreaking.

I weigh daily and put it into an app called Happy Scale. That plots a 30 day and a 10 day moving average. If your 30 day moving average crosses below the 10 day, it turns red to show that you have a bad trend going. Otherwise, keep it all green and don't sweat the numbers.

I plan my lunches for the week. That's the meal I've always struggled with in the past.

Polar A300. Works great!
