I need to chat with myself daily in order to keep myself focused. Just like what happened to me on a recent bike ride—the chain slipped a notch and before I knew it the whole chain came off. Keeping alert to small missteps and getting them resolved can help me avoid major consequences.

I usually get in 7K to 10K daily steps I cycle ( outdoor and indoor ) a minimum of 150 minutes weekly I also do Pilates class weekly and weights

Food in the summertime? seasonal fruits and vegetables . I cycle outdoors during the summer. During the winter I cycle indoors on a stationary bike. Goal this year 3000 miles. I’m behind this pace a bit at the end of June but will definitely catch up in July thru September, peak cycling season

Even for the week. The word for the year is “plateau” although I’m down 6.8 YTD The second half of the year is almost upon us so I’m on track for a 13 lb loss for the year, which would put me within shouting distance of normal weight.

I made my goals for the first three weeks. New goals for round # 2 7000 steps 5 days a week Protein 80 grams a day 5 days a week In bed, CPAP and sleep mask on by midnight 5 days a week

I did the hearing assessment, much like Charlie’s, this Spring. The upshot is that I have mild hearing loss and could benefit from using hearing aids. So far, so good. For me, this would mean at breakfast eating a serving of Greek yogurt or eggs before toast. Fir dinner I always eat a big salad before the main course, Throughout the day I try to include protein with any snacks.
